@Bella Dea,
I have to agree with you . Who cares if she is a hunter? God help us if she ever becomes President of the United States. Where are her children and how often does she see them?

He's done plenty.

Well, we 'll give him credit for supporting himself
and staying out of jail.

But this is a rehash of a rehashed rehash.

Back to chicks who don't dig Sarah...

OK.
I like her a lot, because of her pro-freedom stance (except for abortion),
but I 'm not a chick.

@ossobuco,

With a slew of Republican women far more ready for the vice-presidency than Palin -
listed by Sozobe in some earlier a2k post - I see her at best as
a campaign choice of doubtful wisdom, and at my most sarcastic
as a walking lampoon.

It might be useful for the country to have her in the running
so that issues can be discussed, but I've fear that she will obtain
the within-a-heartbeat position.

The thing is THIS (and McCain knew it):
the Party base, its core workers and contributors,
were singularly underwhelmed by McCain,
with his campaign finance reform, in a MAJOR way.
His campaign was a heartbeat away from death by boredom.
His opponent had 100% no experience, but had well received charisma.

McCain had to do SOMETHING to bring life to his campaign.
He had to appeal to its core people: freedom lovers like me.
He did.
We were, and remain: THRILLED.
I will NOT be too bored to vote on Election Day.
Sarah for President !

David, are you daft or just not quite sure what Palin stands for?

Palin wants to teach creationism in public schools. Cuz ya know, everyone believes the exact same thing and separation of church and state be damned.

Palin doesn't believe that humans contribute all that much to global warming. Wha????

Palin doesn't support abortion even in the case of rape or incest. That damn victim better take responsibilty for that baby.

Palin pushes abstinence and opposes comprehensive sex-ed in public schools. Cuz ya know those teenagers won't have sex if you tell them not to. I mean, look at her daughter. It served her well, huh?

Palin thinks the war in Iraq is "God's task". What the hell does that even mean?

Palin wants to deny same sex couples health care and opposes their marriage. How 18th century of her.

She says she won't let her religion dictate her political platform but how stupid do you have to be to believe that?

Should I go on?

Everything she stands for is just archaic.

@OmSigDAVID,
That't the primary reason we need the federal government; to make sure our love of guns is protected at all costs - beyond wars, lies, devastation of our economy, and bailouts of banks and finance companies with public money.

@cicerone imposter,
Palin's judgement is reflected in her advocacy of "just say no" (teaching children only the strategy of abstinence)--with a pregnant unmarried daughter. On top of that her selection by McCain attests to his equally dismal quality of judgement.

@JLNobody,
That's obvious to many who has their eyes open, but it seems the conservatives have elected to shut their eyes before they "shoot."

That "just say no" advocacy was coined by Nancy Reagan
as to refusal of illegal drugs. It had nothing to do with sexuality.

U cannot hold Sarah responsible for the pregnancy of her daughter,
unless u claim that Sarah put her up to it.

Did u hold Clinton responsible
for the misadventures of his brother, Roger ?

or Carter responsible for those of his brother, Billy ??
Did u, huh ??

@Bella Dea,

Growing numbers of intelligent women realize that Sarah Palin will make an excellent VP.

Belligerent, redneck white trash women hate her and want to punch her in the mouth Mr. Green

Palin meets Karzai without usual reporters in tow

NEW YORK - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has not held a press conference in nearly four weeks of campaigning, on Tuesday barred most pool reporters from her meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, the first foreign head of state she has ever met.
