well, yeah. and so what? should I care anymore about that than she should care of how I think of her?

That's for you to answer.

Since you felt it important to express your feeling about her, I felt it important to express what I imagine she would feel about you.

Actually you should go back and read it - he was suggesting that Palin supporters were hoping McCain dies in office. I think that makes you the nutjob.

@H2O MAN,
I'm sure you're not - and I'm pretty sure BPB was suggesting it ironically as well.

Whats interesting is how ABC edited her comments to get what they wanted.
They not only edited her statements, they totally removed whole passages, to make it look like she wanted war with Russia...

Was ABC News Kidding?
Newsbusters offers the unedited transcript of Governor Palin's interview with Charles Gibson of ABC News.

Now, do remember - prior to the release of the first interview, this was the ABC tease:

EXCLUSIVE: GOV. SARAH PALIN WARNS WAR MAY BE NECESSARY IF RUSSIA INVADES ANOTHER COUNTRY

From the unedited transcript it is astonishing the length to which ABC went to get to that hawkish headline

So, the networks didnt learn fromthe fiasco that resulted when they forged the Bush papers.

Or, is ABC giving up any pretense of journalistic integrity and coming out for Obama?

@Bi-Polar Bear,
I agree with you. for to have lived through the last 8 years with a deception for a leader, why would we fear or despise Palin.... or Hillary..... or McCain, (But Oh boy... I don't KNOW why anyone would WANT a muslim influenced presidency) ... And Obama said in his book: The Audacity of Hope----that he would stand with the Muslims if the world got ugly....
Ane HE SHOULD BE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. ??????

@MCharcoal,
Shame on you, MCharcoal, you are posting lies about Barack Obama.

Did Obama write that he would "stand with the Muslims" and that he nurses a "pervasive sense of grievance and animosity" toward whites?
No. A widely circulated e-mail fabricates some quotes from Obama's books and twists others

A: No. A widely circulated e-mail fabricates some quotes from Obama's books and twists others.
Anyone looking for Barack Obama's real sentiments about whites, blacks and Muslims won't find them in this scurrilous collection of falsified, doctored and context-free "quotations." The e-mail claims to feature words taken from Obama's books, "The Audacity of Hope" (2006) and "Dreams from My Father" (1995, republished in 2004). But we found that two of the quotes are false, and others have been manipulated or taken out of context.

We have received many inquiries about this from readers whose suspicions were aroused, with good reason. Aside from the fact that the e-mail incorrectly cites the title of Obama's book as "Dreams of My Father," rather than "Dreams from My Father," you may have noticed that none of the quotes in this e-mail contain page references. This should be a sign to any reader that the author is trying to pull a fast one, betting that you won't take the time to read through all 806 pages of Obama's books to get to the facts.

Yep, you are absolutely correct. Except for the whole "that never happened" thing.

As an outside observer it appears that the US has managed to pervert democracy from it's already wobbly pedestal.

Take the words democrat and republican out of it and consider this: Lies will circulate about a candidate, lies will be refuted, the lies spread further and quicker than the refutation. Opposing campaigns will release a big lie too close to election date to late for the refutation to counter. People will go to the poll with the lie.

Of course not all lies are 'lies'. Often a valid interpretation of a fact is called a lie because it is not 'on vision' for the campaign.

No wonder you guys are so partisan one way or the other, it's your only defence against the **** storm of bs.

Faith-based democracy.

And the swinging voters (agnostics who ultimately decide which branch of the theocracy will rule) make decisions based on the media coverage (often vetted by the outlet's owner, at least in theme) of each campaign's artfully constructed marketing onslaught.

Not that it's completely different in other democracies, just that the US has taken it so much further, and will probably continue to push the boundaries of cynical politics..

@Bi-Polar Bear,
Andrew Romano is an Obama supporter.... supported by HUNDREDS of words on his own blog. To me, all this says is that he SEARCHES for polls to discredit the opposition...
It is not really MINE to predict, but I will predict it anyway: I believe the hour will come when all people as ONE, will be so sick of the name Obama-
and I refuse to vote McCain / Palin...
but all actions have consequences...

I came, I saw [and he said 'I conquered' ] but all I say is "I left"

My mom just sent an email from an old friend who lives in AK. I dunno if the old friend sent these photos directly, or if she's passing them along. But, they had a Alaskan women against Sarah Palin protest. The email said that in AK, 100 people would be a big protest and that this one had around 1600 people attending (not counting the counter-protesters).

Ah, it was a news report....
