@cicerone imposter,
kudos W.
i was going to go on about a creationist magazine article I read yesterday that explained why we are now seeing the light from stars created 6 billion years ago even thought the earth is only 6,000 years old; but it just seems too mundane.

The only problem with Rays own species manifesto is that Linneaus produced a taxonimic system that WAS purely Creationist so the only mechanism that needs to be discussed moreclearly is how microevolution begets macroevolution. The speaker, out of pity for his audineces butt cheeks, let the core discussion slide.

We need to hear their logic anyway. I always try to keep a strait face when we have them butting conflicts in physics.

@wandeljw,
The quote from Mr Wilkins is all very well and I can well imagine it impressing a certain type of person because, as anybody who has thought about the matter knows, disinterested research leads directly and logically to full blown socialism and thus socialists will be impressed and some others who never let thoughts about consequences get in the way of their ideas.

@spendius,
Spendius I do have to agree with you that logic does lead to socialism. Before we had logical reasoning we had chaos, superstition and a whole lot of make believe of how we should control others, "make them have our same ideology. then a strange thing happened and we learened to be more sociable and we expanded our ethical radius to include more into our group blacks, woman gays and soforth.

@reasoning logic,
But the expansion of your ethical radius has not become stationary at the point you now see it. It is moving towards, as we seem to agree, full blown socialism. Half-baked socialism is intellectually ridiculous.

@reasoning logic,
It'll never happen because the conservatives believe in self-interest. For them, heaven will be hell.

@spendius,
Yes there is no utopia here on earth but isn't that why we have religion so that we can have a make believe heaven?

If you had a woman with a mind like this walk into your pub would you be close to heaven?

@cicerone imposter,
Do you believe in ethical evolution or do you think that we are devolving ethically?

@reasoning logic,
Humans being animals, nature is the controlling factor. Humans are guided by greed, survival, land, money, possessions, and their faith in their religion - which doesn't affect ethics or morality.

Murder, killings, wars, stealing, fraud, robbery, rape, infanticide, abortion, lying, cheating, incest, and all those humanly defined wrong-doings will never stop.

From my studies you are correct but if I am not wrong, "as a group we have advanced!

For the forseen future we will have people with psychological problems due to their environment and at times due to thier neurology

We will allways have others that have neurological problems, causing problems for the rest of us but could we compare these type of people to a person that has no legs slowing us down?

Would it be wrong for us to be mad at your mother because she is 80 years old or she has some sort of problem with her health or mental health?

I my opinion as long as your mother tries to be a productive citizen than I can not see where I am worth more than she is even though I may not be as intellectually or phisically challenged as she may be.

What I am trying to share requires a little more understanding of things than what physics would, so please forgive me for not being able to explain in just a few words.

The most important thing I can share with people is that I can be wrong about what I am telling you but you also could be wrong about what I share as well. If I am not mistaken if everyone were to work togather, everyone would be able to have millions of dollars worth of wealth, not that everyone has the same wants but their abilities would sky rocket if we were able to work together
