@cicerone imposter,
If you search for organization sites, blogs that are anti-ID and anti-creation along with the same search for purely evolution science, they will likely outnumber organizations sites and blogs for ID and creationism like Discovery Institute. The churches themselves rather avoid getting into the subject, except recently when the Catholic church "forgave" Darwin for being right. Remember, they also had to apologize for their part in anti-Semitism and looking the other way or even close to aiding Hitler.

@cicerone imposter,
A simple web search also found that many people of religion lie about attendance to church. Most polls they found are not accurate, because people claim they go to church but do not. The only accurate polls are body counts, and that has shown that less than 29% actually attend church while most pollsters claim it's 40%. That means 25% of those religous' people lie. So much for religion and honesty/morals/ethics.

@cicerone imposter,
They also lie about reading any of Darwin, or any up-to-date books, articles, discoveries, you name it. They haven't -- their answers are invariably parroted not from a cleric but from a talking head on POX News. My own sister did it to me but when I asked her about reading about evolution, "I have a book." Naturally, she would not tell me what book. I can just imagine. She rarely goes to church on Sunday (her husband really doesn't like going). My niece who borrows a lot of my science DVD's to use in her classroom presentations does go to Catholic church fairly regularly (I just know I won't let the cat out of the bag that her husband doesn't like going either). Hopefully, my sister doesn't stalk me on A2K! (Without acknowledging). Very Happy

@Lightwizard,
(Sometimes I've even caught a religious relative or friend lie about reading the Bible with some simple trick questions about what is actually in the book -- things they should know).

@Lightwizard,
kinda reminds me of the people who lie about re-cycling.

@dyslexia,
That's for sure. My niece and her husband are liberals and she talks conservation but I think I'm the only one in the family who actually bought permanent grocery store bags. The ones provided by Smart & Finals are so large, you could take home car in one. I usually stick with the ones I bought at Von's -- a more "mobile" size. I won't lie, though -- I forget and leave them at home or in the car sometimes. It depends on if I'm in a hurry or not whether I will go back out to the car to fetch them. I have never seen one single person with reusable store bags for over a year now. Target is beginning to field test a nickle credit it their stores for the customer bringing their own bags.

@Lightwizard,
yeah, it's kinda amusing in a sad sorta way, we have 6 bags we use and try to keep at least 3 in the car because we forget to bring them but going to the market is bewildereing given the talk we hear of everyone re-cycling. I guess they lie because they actually feel guilty.

@Lightwizard,
You're a credit to the nation LW. What we would do without the social responsibilty you exhibit I don't know.

But why are you ever in a hurry when you have time to come on here trolling wande's thread with that garbage.

@spendius,
spendi, The only troller around here on a2k is you! LW has been very consistent in posting on the topic of "evolution." It can't be helped when you troll this forum, and we must let everybody know - you really don't belong on this thread, because you have no background in evolution.

@cicerone imposter,
The soggy liberal lefties can say nothing about evolution without making themselves look stupid.

@spendius,
Evolution is not a liberal issue, except in the minds of certain bedrock fundamentalists. These fundamentalists may fall on the conservative side of the spectrum, but well educated conservatives often accept evolution. One of the strongest anti religion, pro science, writers of the 20th Century, Phillip Wylie, was very conservative.

@spendius,
spendi, That's another problem you have; you believe evolution is a leftist meme.
Until you can remove your brain from that shithole of nonsense, you'll never understand what evolution is all about.

@edgarblythe,
I was referring to evolution Ed. Not the superficial version used as a tool for various highly subjective purposes such as trying to justify sexual proclivities condemned by Christian thinkers, hypnotising legislators into channeling funds in the direction required, boosting feminism and for making specious invidious comparisons with the vulgar masses engaged in the industrial occupartions.

Bedrock fundamentalists are opposed to evolution because bedrock fundamentalism is inconsisrtent with the principles of evolution just as soggy liberalism is. Evolution is anarchic. At least the bedrock fundamentalists are not hypocrites like the soggy liberals are.

Civilisation is anti-evolution. Gangsters are evolutionists.

Without industrious occupations, you wouldn't have the local pub to dull your brain every day.

@spendius,
"Evolution is anarchic."
Here is where you are in fundamental error. Until you begin to understand evolution you will never get beyond that erroneous statement.

@edgarblythe,
If you are saying Ed that cosmic events are not anarchic you are accepting that they are designed.

It is sad to see you getting down in the hole ci's in.

99% of spendi's posts are erroneous. It seems facts fail to penetrate his grey matter.
