Food consumed in Iowa -- corn, cheeseburgers and french fries. Over and over again. I ate more cheeseburgers in the past five days than in the previous 12 months combined. I am now boycotting cheeseburgers and fries! There's an "8" in the middle. It won't be there tomorrow.

Just remind yourself: I'm going to post everything I eat today on A2K.

3 days / 240lb / 2lb loss

Breakfast:
* Muesli: half a pound of no fat yoghurt, one espresso cup of rolled oats, one nectarine

Second Breakfast:

This meal was unplanned. But a very hard workout after the first breakfast had made me very hungry. So I went to my employer's cafeteria and binged on --

* one bagel -- half of it topped with vegetable-and-herbs cream cheese, the other half with peanut butter
* one croissant

Lunch

* pot roast with ratatouille

Dinner

* not hungry, so I skipped it again.

Ok, it's coming in focus.

Crumpet with sliver of butter

Iced coffee/splash of l/f chocolate milk to top it, plus a repeat of that

last bowl of that lentil/veg/rice/sausage soup

tried the Santa Fe Springs sparkling water. Eh.. 1 glass

some limeade with the next glass of sparkling water

bowl of linguine with garlic/shallots/tomatoes, and I forget what else, described earlier

5 green olives stuffed with almonds

3 chocolate milk and rums, gaggles of ice

@Joe Nation,
Joe Nation, that was a sloppy takeoff of my favorite recipe for pasta with clam sauce, long since written out in several places on the Olden A2K.. which I may be able to find when Search is activated.

The original is much better, Craig Claiborne's Spaghetti with Anchovy and Clam Sauce from the NYT International Cookbook, 1971. He uses real cherrystone clams, adds, among other things, fresh rosemary and parsley... and no doubt better white wine.

(amazon link -
http://www.amazon.com/New-York-Times-International-Cookbook/dp/B000OEKUB6/ref=sr_1_2ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218846239&sr=8-2
(new and used from 2.79) - not the old A2k amazon link which I don't see yet.
Uh, I didn't see the recipe as far as I looked on google.

But, what I learned from that is the leftover juice and clams have been so good, they're good even on toast.

Ok, I'll be quiet, back to business.

Travel day yesterday...

Road snack - 1/2 bag Kosher Dill chips

Evening -- who had time to eat with all the yabbering going on around here? We munch on this and that. Ohhhhhhhh, I've discovered that something called "clotted cream" is absolutely delicious!!! Who knew?

@JPB,
I've always wondered about clotted cream...

So, yesterday, so good..

first, a homemade quesadilla (small flour tortillas) with cheddar cheese, tinned black olive slices, medium hot new mexican salsa)

later, rolls eyes, Veal Marsala (sliced crimini mushrooms/lots of black pepper on that) and perfect roast potatoes (I swear, soft inside, crunchy outside), and herbed julienned carrots and parsnips, with a fat glass of Dolcetto. Oh, and I ate the entire dish of vanilla gelato.

In between and later, ginger ale, fizzy waters, oh, four green olives with almonds.

Today, the opposite...
The to-go packet of veal marsala, carrots and parsnips, potatoes, for brunch,

and another quesadilla of like description, toward evening.

Working on a dilute bourbon and chocolate milk, on my way to fizzy water.
