Yesterday was a horrid day for me as well, shewolf. Got home and didn't have the physical umph to go to the gym. Sat down to play poker with Bear and cubs and ended up eating cheese and crackers with half a bottle of wine. Didn't get on the scales this morning.

Today IS a new day.

I'm tracking myself on livestrong.com. They have a great way of tracking if you want to check out The Daily Plate. It's free.

We've all had days like that Shewolf. My only tactic is to laugh at my brain's whining until it shuts up.
B: Two egg omelette with spinach and cheese and mushrooms, toast, grapefruit.
L: small bowl of lamb stew that I didn't get night before last.
Coffee
Snack: (waiting for the bus to go to NJ to see a movie) A Red Bull.
(Never had one and zero fat calories so, okay. Hmm. Might be my last one.)
Dinner: Chicken sandwich and a diet coke
Movie snack: two handfuls of Annie's popcorn
Drinks after movie: One large Margarita w/some chips and fresh guacamole. (They make it at the table so you can see it's just the avocado and fresh veggies. I looked up avocados when I got home. 50 calories per, but 40 of them are fat..... so good)

Been running at the gym, 1-2 they-don't-count miles and pushing, pulling, curling and crunching.

170/185.0/-14.1
I think I screwed up my countdown.....
It's 116 days to get to 170, I'm at 71 pounds down from 256.oo

This is New York. Snowing hard, 25F (That's ten degrees warmer than yesterday at this time.)

Yesterday
B: coffee, Toast and grapefruit
S: apple bran muffin and more coffee
L: Fruit Salad,,,, oranges and bananas, two or three slices of chicken
S: had a hot slice (HUGE) of chicken, basil and mushroom pizza at the joint next to the movie theatre.
D: wasn't hungry after the movie...chopped up some salad for today's lunch and nibbled here and there.

171/183.9/-16.2
btw, (This will drive Farmerman to drink, but news is news,,,) 183.9 is one tenth of a pound more than I weighed before vacation, so the Florida fatwas are gone. good riddance.
115 days to go to goal of 170.

Yesterday-

breakfast- Red beans and rice

Snacks- Edamame beans. An entire bag. Those things are SO good.

Hot dog + chips for lunch ( my calorie killer! )

Dinner - Ham sandwich.

Not a good 'content' day. I had more vitamins in my beans then anything else.
But a rather light calorie day.

Exercise- Roller skating, Hooping, cleaning a school.
Normally I would not call cleaning ( since its my job) exercise.. but I had to move each and every piece of furniture in the school. I was sweaty and tried by the time I am done..

It qualifies..

just this once.. Smile

@shewolfnm,
It definitely counts. Heavy cleaning is serious cardio -- bend, stretch, lift, pull. 90 minutes of that for me yesterday burned 648 calories. I bet you burned a lot more than that.

Yesterday:
Breakfast: Cheerios Cereal, 1 cup
Blueberries, fresh, 0.5 cup 41
Bread, whole wheat, 2 slices
Jam, 1 tbsp
Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, reduced fat, 1 tbsp

Lunch: Pizzeria Uno Brown Rice w/Craisins (1/2 portion)
Pizzeria Uno ff vinaigrette dressing, 1 serving
Pizzeria Uno Roasted Vegs (1/2 portion)
Pizzeria Uno House Side Salad (full portion)
Pizzeria Uno Mahi-mahi w/Mango (1/2 portion)

Dinner: Salmon, 4 oz
Skim Milk, 1 cup
14 oz mixed greens salad
Mixed Vegetables, 1 c
Couscous, 1 cup

Snack: Fruit Salad, 1 cup
Stonyfield Farm Fat Free chocolate, 6 oz

CALORIES 1839 CARBS 288 g FAT 33 g PROTEIN 105 g Sodium 1815 mg

Calories were a lil high but the sodium stayed under -- a real challenge when we eat at Uno's.

@jespah,
I have gotten more work in the last month then I have had since I started this cleaning business . THe more I do? The more I realize it is very heavy , serious calorie burning stuff.
Im surprised I was able to maintain a 250lb body before. But I try not to include my work in my outline of exercise because it is easy for me to sit down when I get home thinking I have done enough.

In one day, working for about 4 hours, I probably burn 600 calories at work. But then I got home and I would eat 2,500 or more.
I keep my calories at about 1,200 with a large part coming from fat, ignore the fact that I work out for a job, and just stay busy.. and things are working well. Smile

I have noticed that .. as I stay busier.. I always want to stay busy. It isnt an assignment anymore.. seeking out exercise.. it is just something to do.
I love roller skating.
I love hula hooping
I love walking
I love riding a bike..

these are now just my activities.. not something I have to use a horse whip on my behind to do .

sweet red bean soup

It is a tradition to hold an "old-year" banquet to close out the old year.
We gathered with The Lovely Bride's side of the family at Joyful Garden
Restaurant last night. At Chinese banquets you typically sit around a large
round table with a lazy-susan in the middle. As platters are brought out,
you take a bit from each one.

I was a comparatively good boy.

Compared to what, I won't say
