@Tai Chi,
I'll check it out later, I'm still confused about the relationship of this to inflamation, and don't want to make a damn foole of myself.

George, when I read about you "scavenging"....I love doing that...a spoon of this, some leftover that....

@chai2,

Doggone it, I don't know how to link websites on this new fangled ding-dang A2K. However, here's the address for linking to what I think is a very helpful site.

http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/112/2

Gives data on glycemic load (as opposed to glycemic index. I think knowing the load is much more important), inflammation factor, proteins and a whole bunch of other junk.

I hope others find it useful as well.

@George,
I'm done eating for today, so I'm checking in...

BTW, yesterday I got this almost overwhelming urge for some really nasty fast food. Worse yet, I was getting in the car when it came over me, so there was little to stop me....but...I realized that to be honest I'd have to record it here, and I didn't want to have to do that.

egg beaters w/ onion, mushroom and a bit of cheese on top
black coffee
2 flax oil capsules

amy's bean and rice burrito
grapes

peanut butter snack crackers, not a good choice, didn't think of the alternative I should have taken until after.

12 inch tuna sub, subway - ok, I'm off of them for awhile.
1/2 glass cranberry juice.

green tea, some with fresh lime juice mixed in.

@George,
It's a wonderful gym, George. Not only does my company provide the gym free of charge, but it's pretty fancy. They provide clothes, socks, a locker to keep a pair of sneakers in - plus shampoo, hair products, etc. Even Qtips.

There's usually a charge for massages (and for trainers), but I had a gift certificate for a massage from when I was a Member of the Month back in April.

There's still one guy who calls me Miss April...

@mac11,
Awww sweet.

Unfortunately the only gym my company actually gives any $$ to work out at still ends up costing more than the local Y. I may be joining the Y at some point, once I've exhausted my at-home weight-lifting opportunities. That won't be for another 15 or so lbs.; right now I'm lifting 25 lbs. But I digress.

Coffee, grapefruit..toast

Lunch (in the park, what a nice day!)
Remains of Wednesday night's pear salad
two hard boiled eggs
Diet Coke

@jespah,
Not a good day, but I kinda knew it would be.

Started off well.

Made a kind of risoto from the quinoa mac suggested.
That was really good.
That kept me full all the way to lunch.

Then, the slide...
I had a baby shower luncheon, and I was hoping there would be enough good choices...
Well, there was some fruit and raw veggies, but I need more as I was hungry, and had a slice of nasty bread with some yucky cheese spread on it. Just that little bit.

Going back to work, I stopped and got an Amy's bean/veggie enchilda dinner, which I ate around 2:30

I went home, where my darling had decided to "treat" me for working all week, and there was a mushroom/onion pizza from papa johns waiting for me.

I...uh....ate half the thing. Embarrassed

The other half is in the fridge, and I know I'll knosh on that over the weekend. That's ok, I'm going to balance it out with wonderful choices.
