Glad to see you're eating, Joe. Those look like mainly good choices. An occasional hot dog of course is totally fine. Smile

Yesterday:
Breakfast: 2 instant oatmeal packets
Fish Oil Capsule

Lunch: Dr. McDougall's Vegan Curry, 1 serving
Sensible Foods Soy Nuts, 1 serving

Dinner: 2 T. stir fry sauce (seems to be light on the salt)
10 oz mixed vegs
Brown Rice, medium grain, 1 cup

Snack: 1 apple
Stonyfield Farm Fat Free Chocolate, 6 oz

CALORIES 1548 CARBS 281 g FAT 27 g PROTEIN 40 g Sodium 1994 mg

Yesterday was a little low on calories, protein, iron and calcium (we had an unexpected evening out instead of at home because the car dealership screwed up again).

Congratulations to all on the progress. Joe, I love the "lowest weight in 10 years." That's an excellent stat.

You may recall that I had a big gain 8/12, but I lost all of that plus a bit more at weigh-in 8/19. I've missed more than a week posting here due to new a2k-itis as well as being out of town on the weekend. I journal what I eat every day on paper, so I could bore you all with that...but I'll just skip to today.

B: shredded wheat 'n bran, skim milk, banana, hb egg

L: chicken barley chili

S: mini bag of 94% ff popcorn

D: tabouleh, cottage cheese

S: maybe an apple later if I get hungry before bed

Lotsa water today. Went to a Cardio Blast class after work.

(Hey Joe, does the first number mean the number of times I've posted my daily food here, or the number of days that have elapsed since I started posting?)

@mac11,
20/154/152 (yawn) - except I fit into a lot of my old but newly new clothes recently. This is good. And I can fit into my famous to myself traveler's black suit now, easily, what a pleasure. Probably weigh less than when I first got it, early '99.

yesterday
wake up - one and a half cups of coffee / prob tsp and a half of sugar when I made the coffees.

I had a multi cheese/olive quesadilla yesterday late a.m. and the remaining linguine from a pasta dinner with the remaining clam sauce previously mentioned in late afternoon. More sliced garden tomatoes (aack, I should have planted more) off and on, ginger ale, a couple of glasses of sherry on ice, low fat milk with unsweetened cocoa/tsp sugar later on.

Today,
coffee with a little leftover previously made cocoa

pork adobo burrito, previously described

late lunch out - scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy, thin over-cooked pork chop half left on plate, iced tea, 1 tsp sugar.

dinner, I'm taking left over tomato/onion/celery/mucho garlic and hot ital sausage pasta sauce and making soup by adding 4 cups of water, a couple of tablespoons of medium enchilada sauce, some broken up dried spaghettini, and toward the end a biggish amount of washed chopped spinach (the whole bunch, basically) and some leftover small chuncks of mozzarella. Hmm, I'll add some black beans too, have some in the fridge. Tada, strange minestrone.

Meantime, I'm having a sherry on big batch of ice.

Have cracked open a perrier bottle today and am making my way through that with some ice and squeezed lemon. Probably finish the bottle by sleep time.

'tis the number of days you been posting. I going for 365.

Who are the math geeks out there? Is there an easy formula for figuring out a trend line? If I divide UP days by DOWN days or the reverse? Can't be that easy.... .

This is good eating and clever use of left-overs and pretty near a genius way of cooking. Amazing.

I am not easily amazed. I'm not.

ogod yesterday, what?
Coffee
Toast
Grapefruit
3 teeny plums (sugar plums)

Bagel with Turkey and Tomato
Diet Coke
(My friend re-opened his bagel place. I promised to be there.)

Snack
Just coffee.
I say just coffee because I have always had a tendency to have a piece of sumpin' about four o'clock as if I needed it.

Dinner
Chicken breast pieces
Tomato
1 1/2 vodkas (plain, kinda frozen)

young'uns out to lunch. I got invited, too. And fell into dietary evil.)

couple pieces of bread from the basket

wine

baked haddock
stir-fry snow peas and asparagas

large chocolate chip cookie (what was I thinking?)

@Joe Nation,
I keep forgetting to do the # of days thing. Suffice it say I've been tracking since something like 1/21/08. So, um, 200+ should be my #. I have a graph around here somewhere; maybe I'll upload it.

@jespah,
Jes, I've been tracking since May of '05. I think I actually still have all that around here somewhere!

I'd love to see your graph. Very Happy

@mac11,
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r299/jespah301/Weight_loss_chart2008-08-04.jpg

The goal #s which I haven't made yet are mainly speculative. I get specified goals (next 5% off) when I make a goal, hence I figure when I make the next official goal (258), the next goal will be 13 lbs. off, therefore the next goal would be 245. Mileage will vary; I've blown away most of my goals so far.

And yes I really did start at 346. Right now I'm at about 265 or so.

Wow. Great work and great graph. I am too lazy to make graphs. I use a thing called Weight Commander. Costs about ten bucks. Yells at me if I get off my trend line.
That's a good thing for me.
Brk
Coffee, toast, fruit
Lunch
On the Beach
Chicken and tomato sandwich on fresh bread
little mayo.
Sugar Plums
Gatorade
(No sand!)

Dinner
3/4 pound steak
Steamed spinach
Little piece of cheese
One yogurt before bed
Vodka (two gulps)

look at this!

22/192.2/ -7.9 New low for godknows how many years.
