Well, if the idea was to liven up the discussion a bit, that is fair game - I mean it does look like a bra of sorts to me.

So far, not much discussion. So let's ask why is it provocative, say compared to looking in fashion magazines or fashion shows on TV.

Where did you find it? Is it you Setanta?

Actually I am surprised nobody said "I am not touching that" - see above. Smile

One more 'provocative' question: Who is still wearing bras these days anyway? (see Goingbraless above) Shocked

What do Bra Makers Say?
I thought I would share with you this statement by a Playtex executive on a British TV (Channel 4, November 2000 "Bras, the Bare Facts") interview recently:

Playtex (a bra manufacturer in England) executive, John Dixey -- "We have no evidence that wearing a bra could prevent sagging, because the breast itself is not muscle, so keeping it toned up is an impossibility. What it can do, particularly for larger-breasted women, is obviously to provide the comfort and the support. So, if a woman wants a particular breast profile, she will buy a particular brand, and that is what they're designed for. There's no permanent effect on the breast from wearing a particular bra. The bra will give you the shape the bra's been designed to give while you're wearing it. Of course, when you take it off, you go 'au natural.' "

He at least admits that bras don't do anything except temporarily change the external appearance of the breast.

Bra Addiction
Well that woke everybody up!

So, is it true that women and girls today are addicted to bras? It makes you wonder how they managed all of those thousands of years without bras.

Even bras in the early twentieth century were just two handherchiefs sewn together, essentially a bit of cover like a camisole but not 'support' which was not thought of till the 1950s.

Or those women all over the world who have never had access to bras?

Double Bra
I have a question -

A mother is concerned because she has discovered that her daughter not only wears a bra 24 hours a day, but is now wearing two bras at once.

She wants to know if she should be worried - what does it mean? Does anybody know?
