Please, don't let that stop you.
The world needs liberated women, free, proud, and strong!

Is it true they now have bras with remote control?
Or little pockets for keys and money?

LOL CB. Not sure if the remote control or pocket thing is true since I don't do much bra shopping, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

In the interests of rocket science, 2 supplementary
questions----------------------

what is prefered

rear or front opening/closing ?

hook type things or velcro ?

well a zip fastener wouldn't work

In my experience, front opening is wonderful - but confusing for others - unless they know your bra collection well. Such a sad thing, those hands desperately trying to appear tres cool and smooth - then descending into desperation as no fasteners can be found back there! It is a delicatething, when you remember you are wearing fronties - (not the thing most often foremost on the thoughts at that moment) - how to assist in a non-ego deflating manner. The best, of course, is when you can both enjoy the humour of the thing.

Hmmmm - I had a famous frontie - which I wore especially for very low cut dresses - where the fastening at the front was absolutely invisible! It was helpful re unwelcome fumblings - but a killer for a new fella, if I forgot to warn him.

having been a teenager, i think its obvious that front opening with VELCRO is essential. ok so it was in the dark ages, i remember it well.

Re: AA, BB, CC, it's 'cause the progression is A B C D... if you want something bigger than an A, you get a B. But there's no "E", so they get into "DD" et al to show the continuing progression.

Montana, I've mentioned I useta live in a "clothes-optional" co-op (omigosh I have to visit the co-op when I'm in Madison! just thought of that. anyway) and the whole "it's hot so I'm taking my damn shirt off" thing rocked. Got a little too used to it.

Deb has a famous bra!!

I read an article recenlty about getting a custom bra fitted in Paris. THAT's what I want. I like how shelf bras feel, but I don't like the uniboob look. My everyday wear are cotton underwires from V's S, surprisingly comfortable.

I took a friend for a bra-fitting last week. She needed a bustier to wear under her wedding dress, and she'd been commenting on some fit problems with her bras. So, off we went to Sofia's. And whaddya know, the dear girl is not a 36C but a 32DD. She was a bit startled when Sofia moved in to adjust things, but the bustier fits.

Front opening is nice for some things - but they aren't very good for proper fitting - as you're supposed to lean forward, to deposit your offerings into the holders - with a front latch, they sometimes fall out before you can get things done up properly. Tricky.
