In THE BREAST (1972) Philip Roth made a humorous allusion to Kafka's famous short story 'Metamorphosis' - Roth's hero, David Kepesh, finds himself transformed into a massive female breast.

Laughing Oh my heavens! Imagine being turned into a breast. Is this one attached to a woman's body, or detached, creating havoc? This goes to show that about anything is marketable...

I wonder what A2Kers would do, if they had to make a movie..

A renegade breast hurtling along, like a huge jello, thru downtown Los Angeles. Men tripping over in a state of arousal & women speechless in amazement. Who you gonna call for salvation ?

Why is it that I keep hanging around with women who talk about getting breast reductions? One complains that she has a couple of ten pound bags of sand hanging around her neck, the other relates how it difficult to get her work done because her boobs keep getting in the way. ( She's a designer of pillows and has to make drawings.) AND this is at dinner. Sheesh! Pass the hot sauce.!

Really Laughing? I remember a few years ago, one of my friends' boyfriends was looking after this deserted hospital out in Worcestershire... it used to be a plastic surgery place; Cilla Black (our English A2Kers will know her) went there. Quite irresponsibly, this guy held a party in one of the big rooms; I was my friend's guest. It was incredible; most guys messed around with the breast implants! One or two even took off their clothes, asked for bras, put the breast implants under them and started singing 'Like a prayer' whilst girating their hips; they were sober! It must be the Venus envy...

Brassiere, don't make it bad,
take a sad boob and make it better.
Remember, it lifts across your heart,
and for the mins, makes it better.
