As for that state dinner though, here ya go referring to a state dinner June 15, 2008:

Just to remind you: that was in LONDON, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, when President Bus was invited by HM The Queen .... and later a guest in Downing Street.

(My response above is referring to PM Browen's visit in WASHINGTON.)

You didn't specify that when you said that President Bush treated YOU worse. You are not answering the question of how he did that. Do you consider the UK to be YOU?

I do not find ANY complaints of how Gordon Brown was treated by President Bush in the USA or any suggestion by even the most leftwing media that it was in any way inappropriate.

No.

Walter, I linked my source for this. Dispute it with anything you can, but until you do I have to believe you don't know what you're talking about.

So you want miracles? Obama has been in office for less than two months, and Bush had eight years to destroy our economy and country. What a dork!

If you want miracles, go to your church and pray.

I agree. It took the Bush Administration 8 years to destroy our country, and the Obama Administration is expected to have God-like powers and have all of our national and global problems cleaned up overnight. Our current president wasn't even sworn into office before the Republicans started blaming him for the lack of an immediate and miraculous recovery.

If it was broadly reported, you should be able to post a link or two.

@Foxfyre,
Because the left wing press realized that failing to have a state dinner is NOT an insult. Something you and RW bloggers don't seem to understand.

@Foxfyre,
Press conference canceled because of SNOW.

Quote:
British officials, denying any deliberate snub, said that a slightly more formal event planned in the Rose Garden after the meeting had been cancelled because the grounds of the White House are blanketed in snow.

@Walter Hinteler,
Here is the link for your claim Walter.

Paulson rejected Brown meeting

Quote:
Hank Paulson, the US Treasury Secretary, is understood to have rejected a request for a meeting with Gordon Brown, delivering a snub to the Prime Minister during his visit to America.

I am looking forward to your link Fox.. Still waiting for it, even though I posted a very clear refutation of your claim.

@Walter Hinteler,
Paulson "too busy" to see Brown, the conservative (online) business magazine 'This is Money':

Gordon Brown suffered a setback last night after the US Treasury Secretary refused to meet him on his trip to America.

George Osborne, the Tory Shadow Chancellor, said: 'I cannot believe that ... ... ...

Does this mean that you can't cite any instances where President Bush insulted your German leaders? Are you going to retract the statement?

Are you serious?

When Obama starts to engage in inappropriate touching of other leaders, let us know, and then the two prez' will be on the same level.

@Cycloptichorn,
Good find, Cyclo. The reality of all this is that the conservatives had plenty to bitch about our president during Bush's two terms, but we heard hardly a peep. They are now into making moutains out of mole hills when compared to what Bush did during his eight years. It's really funny, because by all indications, the majority (that would include conservatives wouldn't it?) who had retirement savings in their 401ks and IRAs lost some 30 to 50% of their savings during Bush's presidency that ended on January 19, 2009. They still find Obama with less than two months in office as a "failure." Go figure. ?????????

It's pretty difficult for two guys to shake hands and pose for the camera without meeting. The Telegraph article also did not say definitively that Paulson had rejected the meeting nor did Mr. Brown's staff confirm that he had or had not. And if it was such a 'snub', then why bother to include a photo with a treasury secretary? All the other photos were Mr. Brown and heads of state.
