@parados,
well let's look at it logically, all them hippies were liberals, and Manson's followers were hippies, so therefore liberals are all serial killers

@ican711nm,
Exactly right, ican. By the way, what do we think of primarily, when Hitler and the Nazis are mentioned? I would submit this answer, it is the attempted extermination and mass murder of the Jews. Of course others were murdered also, but primarily we think of the Jews. For someone with no knowledge of history, why the Jews would be the next logical question. Try googling "Why did Hitler hate or kill the Jews." I already knew the answer, but just a minute of searching yields similar results. It was because the Jews represented a scapegoat or an object of class envy, which is what most leftists use, which I realize we already know, ican, this as conservatives, but leftists constantly demagogue those that have achieved more and have more wealth. Class envy is one of their favorite weapons in the game of politics. It is in fact a common thing on this forum, and we know Obama has used such tactics to perfection in order to get elected. And in the atmosphere of the economic problems of Germany and Europe in the 20's and 30's, the Jews offered a group on which to lay the blame, and Hitler practiced the leftist demagoguery to the greatest degree possible, even daring to exterminate the undesirables and cleanse the race. After all, according to the leftist view, the Jews had polluted the culture of Germany with their religion of greed, capitalism, and profiteering, and thus the polluted influence must be eliminated. This was unquestionably total and complete leftist and socialist doctrine, the Fascist and Nazi version of it.

Could you build a bigger strawman there okie? Accusing liberals of killing just isn't quite big enough.

It was pom that made the accusation, Mr. Holier than thou Parados. So I threw it back in her face and the liberals face, where it squarely belongs. She created the strawman, I did not as you falsely claimed. I merely threw it back at her and to the folks that earned it. Its the truth, so deal with it, okay?

@okie,
well if you can't laugh, you're gonna spend a lot of time crying

what if we limit it to politicians only, some heads on poles outside the seats of government would help keep the others in line i think

Parados, the lawful process to pass laws is specified in the Constituion along with what kinds of laws are lawful to pass.

Valid point, cyclops. Unfortunately, that is what the debate forum becomes at times, and I admit to participating at times.

The Left advocates theft by government, because they think theft by government is good as long as it is theft from those who have something worth stealing. When there are no longer any folks with something worth stealing, the Left moves to dictatorship (e.g., Hitler's Nazis dictatorship).

LEFTISM, WHEN ALLOWED TO PERSIST, LEADS INEVITABLY TO DICTATORSHIP!

He weighed 4 pounds 12 ounces, and is 19 inches long.
He wasnt due till Aug 7, but the Drs say he is perfectly healthy.

POM wrote:

Not weird at all. The fact that Texas Republicans feel they have the right to go into people's bedrooms is beyond the pale, beyond the Constitution and beyond this specious claim that the right likes to keep government out of people's lives.

It is the sort of action that proves that everything about the American right is a tissue of lies.

In addition to boosting your reading skills, you also need to understand symbolism.

Well, what we can definitely gleen from the first part of POM's statement is that POM recognizes the importance of our Constitution in protecting individual rights. Surely our Constitution would be more formidable help in keeping the texas cops out of its citizens bedrooms than POM's indignation alone. Even POM hints at a possible constitutional remedy.

Additionally we can also assume that POM's indignation (and reasoning) would apply equally to the Right's intent in Obamacare's forcing every American citizen to purchase healthcare whether they feel they need it or not. But wait! Obamacare was a totally Leftist work product. POM then, correctly, informs "the right likes to keep government out of people's lives." Let's face it Obamacare, and the legislative process to pass it, is probably the best campaign contribution made to the GOP in years.

That's right the constitution and the right are respectfully restrictive and evil, until the left needs them to advance their agenda or offer protection from the very forces the left loves so much to coddle and bow to.

@JamesMorrison,
There is no valid comparison between what happens in one's bedroom, and Health Care; because Health Care affects us all, whereas individual private actions affect nobody else. One is a practical and public matter, the other, a moral and private one.

Not that I really expect you to be intellectually honest on this or any other subject, JM.

@Cycloptichorn,
So do you also support things like incest, child abuse, and prostitution, cyclops? Just yanking your chain a bit, but I want to point out an obvious fallacy in your reasoning process, that there are in fact many laws in regard to what happens in peoples bedrooms, and there rightfully should be some laws in my opinion, because it is for the good of society. We can argue about what laws are appropriate and what laws are not, but I think we should all agree that private actions are not off limits to laws.
