By the way, msolga, shewolf was right about me. I'd been trying to hide the fact that I am a kitchen gnome but now it's out and I must say I am proud to be a vertically challenged kitchen gnome. You'll have to check the cabinets when you get here--there are many very funny gnomes in the cabinets. They like to play with Dante.

Very Happy

I must say, Diane, despite your gnome status (I'm taking your word for that - I'd never have guessed! Surprised ), you looked positively radiant in that photograph! Which was great to see, given that your ailment & hospitalization not all that long ago. You look terrific! (& so do osso (or the little I could see of her!) & rockhead, too, of course! Very Happy )
Sorry to hear dys wasn't feeling too well, though.

Thank you for the kind words, msolga. We kitchen gnomes stick together even though most people don;'t even know we exist.

The weekend with Rockhead was so delightful that we all sparkled a little more than usual.

Dys needed his nap. He has accepted that without lots of sleep, he just doesn't have the endurance to keep up with all the talk and other activities. So we try to work around it so that we get to see him when he is feeling well and the fatigue has lessened.

He and I are so looking forward to seeing so many ABQ friends. I can't think of a better treat than spending time with some of the brightest, kindest people I've ever met.

And it sounds like a terrific experience for everyone who visits, Diane! Sigh. I wish it was as easy as just hopping into a car & driving for a time, or a short air flight, or train trip .....

You can do 10.5 hours standing on your head, Walter.

Though it's an UA-flight, it's operated by Lufthansa, and I've already chosen a seat.

As an exercise, I went to my preferred travel booking site, put in Sydney - Albuquerque.

1 hour later -it still hasn't been able to give me an answer - thinking, thinking.....

I suppose it figures that no-one in Sydney would ever consider going to ABQ.

Or maybe it doesn't believe there's such a place? Razz

Poor Margo! New Mexico really does exist, even though there are even people in the US who are still not sure this is a legitimate part of the United States.

When Dys was trying to get on a plane in Sydney, the security guys took apart his Zippo lighter, including the wick. They couldn't find anything else, so I guess they figured that the guy with the beard could't get through without some time-consuming hassle.

At least he got the Zippo back after they had taken it apart.

From what I've heard, Rock Head has the same kind of trouble. Those beards are absolute security risks.

Trouble...

I posted them all on photobucket and they all looked good to me, at least as photos. Now I'm getting pictures of Pacco, m'boy, and only one or two of the chosen pics.

Mumble.

I WILL solve this.

Note 1. I've posted from photobucket many times before.
Note 2. Appears to be a glitch.
Note 3. I had trouble getting going on ImageShack with a Mac and would rather avoid it (I seem to remember a simple NO to start with).
Note 4. Thinking flickr or tinyurl.

Back in a bit. Well, first I'll try to massage photobucket.

It's the shifty eyes ... and the "not so smart" comments.

Well ... the beard doesn't help.
