I'm sending out love and peace.

Can't even think of a birth scene....but I will.

I can't figure out what happened either, Dorothy. I hope it blows over. (It's only trivia!)

46. Z.P.G. (1972), Geraldine Chaplin delivers an illegal baby

It seems that the regulars can't spawn any more births and that the subject must be aborted. I had hoped Raggedyaggie would reconsider, for if I continue the thread from the rim of Lapland; I reckon I will soon be by myself. However, it will be Easter soon and we should all look on the bright side of life Smile

So, without further ado, I announce the next subject to be chosen from the following:
- "New World" (a future society, utopic or distopic)
- "Neanderthal" (or any other kind of prehistoric human)
- "Noel " (Christmas films)
- "Noose" (hanging scenes)
- I was thinking about "Numismatics" (scenes explicitly featuring coins), but maybe that is too difficult.

It would be nice to give some kind of description of the scene or theme in question, for us who maybe haven't seen the film. I hope none of these topics has been used before.

12. Tales From The Crypt (Joan Collins)
13. Black Christmas (Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder)

Both of these are horror films from the 1970's involving a psychopathic killer on the loose at Christmas time. Tales From The Crypt has a trilogy of stories (the Joan Collins segment involves Christmas).

What is the one with Katherine Hepburn and Spenser Tracey where the "Reference Dept" is being taken over by a computer? There's a great Christmas party scene in it.

Thanks, mac. I've seen parts of that movie at least a dozen times, but I've never watched the whole thing from front to back. I don't think I ever knew what the name of it was.

Love "Desk Set" and in the Cinerama screen, it was a hoot (all those computer lights, fake, of course, flashing across the giant screen when the computer did its own HAL routine". It's like seeing "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" in a 4:3 print for TV, which I believe was the last Cinerama movie. The letterbox wide screen of that film when shown on TCM has the brownish marks where the projectors juxtaposed on the giant curved screen. "How the West Was Won" suffers from the same problem.
