I think the beings in Star Wars are sufficiently humanlike to qualify as humans.

Hi, the zombie ladies are seen in labour the first in a shopping mall and the second in a basement and Demi might even be in a maternity ward, but I don't remember because the armageddon going on all around her was a bit distracting. Laughing

Joefromchicago: I'm looking for a scene in a maternity ward or a childbirth scene.

Do we see the child being born in:

36. The Life of Brian (birth of Brian in a manger in Bethlehem)
37. The Greatest Story Ever Told (another birth in another manger in Bethlehem) ?

No, we don't see any children being born in either of those films. There are no labor pains, no husband standing there saying "breathe, honey, breathe!" and no doctor slapping some poor kid's ass. I would add that, prior to about 1970 or so, no film would have depicted any of that (anyone want to offer a guess as to which Hollywood film first depicted a woman in labor? -- and I'm not talking about Norma Rae here). Indeed, under the Hayes Code, Hollywood filmmakers couldn't even say the word "pregnant." Consequently, many of the films currently on your list show as much of the mechanics of childbirth as either Life of Brian or The Greatest Story Ever Told (Gone With the Wind, for instance, certainly doesn't show Prissy cutting the umbilical cord). Furthermore, as the birth of a baby is a major plot point in both Life of Brian and The Greatest Story Ever Told, I would expect that they would qualify.

This isn't the first time, RA, that you've questioned my submissions while letting others' slide. If you have a problem with me participating in this thread, then send me a PM and explain yourself. Otherwise, I would expect the same treatment for my posts as you would give to anybody else's.

If I've offended anyone here, I sincerely apologize.
This was meant to be a fun game for anyone who cared to participate.
This is the second round and because of the time involved, I intended to end the game after this round.
I'm ending my participation in the game now.
This thread is open to anyone who would like to take over the game.

42. Le Chaînon manquant (1980, O, the Missing Link), cartoon birth of twins, one of the kids ties the umbillical himself.

My entries have been questioned by other participants more than once, but I don't consider that a reason to presume ill intent, nor a reason to quit a game that obviously entertains. Anyone, can question my entries, if their memory of a film is better or clearer than mine.

Joe from the windy city is right that most older films do not show any of the less savoury mechanics of childbirth, birth is usually implied by people running about with clean water and hot towels followed by the wailing of a baby and sometimes by the cleaned up kid being shown to the other parent like in

43. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954)

In Life of Brian there is no birth during the film as far as I can remember. I haven't seen the oter film.
