I say you are absolutely right, Roberta. Very Happy
I've been trying to remember a movie where the guy was in desperate need of a job, but was turned down by every employment agency he went to because he was over-qualified. As soon as I start the next subject, the movie will probably be on TV.

Wonder if we'll reach 50 with this one.

First, I gotta say that I made a mistake with the job interview movies. I said "Splash" was the movie where Tom Hanks the grownup went for a job interview. It should have been "Big." I caught when I was looking for eoe's post (below). Stunned that none of the hawkeyes here caught it.

I loooooved the Kramer vs. Kramer interview.

Obviously overqualified, he was desperate for the job and willing to take the pay cut. "This is a one-time offer, boys. Take it or leave it."

Raggedy, Is this what you're trying to remember?

Football:

2. The Replacements
3. Jerry McGuire
4. The Longest Yard

Not Kramer vs. Kramer, Roberta. I picture an older man. A scientist or professor.

Glad to see you here, Mac. Very Happy I was concerned about weather conditions in your neck of the woods.

Thanks for worrying, Raggedy. It's too cold and frozen stuff might fall. Nothing to worry about really. Very Happy

I think they're supposed to be films about American football, not soccer.

That was my intention, joefromchicago, but I didn't make it clear, so I'm accepting soccer and rugby.

Oh sorry, I just saw "football" and thought it meant proper English football. My mistake.
