Good question, joefromchicago.
Let's limit it to an audition in an office before the person who is responsible for hiring, and not a stage audition. (if that makes any sense Very Happy )

Recap:

E = Employment agency/office scene, or a character being interviewed for, or applying for, a job.

1. Dave (Kevin Kline owns an employment agency for temps.)
2. Klute (Jane Fonda as "Bree" seeks a job at a modeling agency.)
3. Down in the Delta (Alfre Woodard applies for a job as a supermarket cashier, and is turned down for the job -- and thoroughly humiliated by the store owner -- because she doesn't know arithmetic)
4. Splash (Tom Hanks, the grownup, goes for a job interview)

Don't know if this counts. In Working Girl, there's a scene in which Melanie Griffith rides up in an elevator with Philip Bosco and Harrison Ford. She's explaining to Bosco how she came up with the idea for the radio ad campaign. He hires her. But the purpose of the discussion wasn't for her to get a job. It was to prove that it was her idea and not Sigourney Weaver's. Whaddya think?

I'm thinking we better not use that one since she wasn't trying to get the job, but it brings back nice memories, Roberta. Smile

I loooooved the Kramer vs. Kramer interview.

Obviously overqualified, he was desperate for the job and willing to take the pay cut. "This is a one-time offer, boys. Take it or leave it."
