Wow W. There are so many nice words, like whisky, wanton women and a watery grave, but for me, due to childhood trauma (undoubtedly) there can be only one choice here:

WOLF (to make it to 50 we will also accept coyotes and werewolves)

1. Le Pacte des Loups (The Brotherhood of the Wolf, 2001), in the hunt for the Beast of Gevaudan many wolves are killed, wolves are also otherwise involved.

That reminds me:
46. Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), does the same thing, arrives in England as a large wolf. There were real wolves in the book, but I can't remember if they made it into the film.

48. L'Enfant sauvage (The Wild Child, 1970), the wild boy of Aveyron lives with wolves before he is found (in a wolf den)

Only 2 more, perhaps there are cattle driving westerns that feature wolves or coyotes?

Lots of wolves and coyotes howling in the westerns and wilderness movies, but I don't remember actually seeing them. I guess the campfires kept them at a safe distance. Very Happy
