or:

Bree decided to

Take a Walk in the Spring Rain, etc.

and she just had time for a cup of Chinese Coffee
to keep from dozing off at her 10:30 meeting, which is sure to be

The Big Snooze
or
Operation Snafu

Laughing Hi Loislane.

Would that it had been a Yellow Rolls-Royce, but in fact it was a Walk in the Spring Rain (which turned to sleet and then snow later in the day)! And the meeting was, as I expected it would be, The Big Snooze.

I think loislane and Raggedy split that one right down the middle, so you guys can flip a coin to decide who goes next.

I nominate Bree to act as the official coin-tosser.

I call "heads".

Oh Goodie, because I have to tell you what I'm going to do tomorrow.

I'm going to take a ride with the real estate agent. We're going to look at:

1. George Sanders

I understand the West Wing has:

2. Judi Dench

And from:

3. Shelley Winters

you can look out over

4. Jason Robards

(And, I'm really delighted that

5. Cameron Mitchell

is required)

That sounds like a delightful day.

I'm going to take a ride with the real estate agent. We're going to look at:

1. The Best House in London

I understand the West Wing has:

2. A Room with a View (if we were talking about my house, it would be A Handful of Dust)

And from:

3. The Balcony

you can look out over

4. A Thousand Acres

(And, I'm really delighted that

5. No Down Payment

is required)

Actually, we were going to see the House of the Seven Gables, but the Best House in London is a much better suggeston. Thank you. Very Happy

I thought London might be kind of a long drive for you, and I couldn't picture a London house that looked out over a thousand acres, so I should have known you were thinking of a different house!

I don't have a new one right now. I'll be back when I do.

New question:

If you insert one word (the same word in each case) into a title for each of these performers, you'll get an idea of how they plan to spend the upcoming holiday:

Albert Finney

Laurence Olivier

Claudette Colbert

Mel Blanc

A gentle hint, please, just in case I'm on the wrong track here.

Would Mel Blanc be:

An Easter Egg Scramble
or The Easter Egg Collector

and

Claudette Colbert:

The Easter Egg and I

Maybe,

Easter Bunny Lake is Missing for Olivier

In Easter Traffic for Finney

You're on exactly the right track, and you got the Colbert and Olivier movies right. I was thinking of different movies (with different words following "Easter") for Finney and Blanc. Do you want to keep looking, or should I tell you?

I'll give it another try, thank you.

Loislane: Where are you? Here we are with another one of those neverending Mel Blanc ones and you're nowhere in sight.

Once you've found the Mel Blanc title, you'll never get the tune out of your head!

Oh, and the Finney title is painfully unclever, which is probably why you didn't find it right away -- I only used it because I needed a fourth word that you could put "Easter" in front of, and it was all I could think of.

Oh, drat -- I just thought of a better word that "Easter" can go in front of (as Jimmy Cagney could have told me)!

You got Finney right. For Blanc, I was going for Bugs' Easter Bonnets or A Bird in a[n] Easter Bonnet

Blanc's an Easter nightmare with all the eggs and bunnies, etc. (lol)

And Cagney, Footlight Easter Parade?

You're right about Blanc. I wouldn't have used him, only I couldn't find another "bonnet" movie.

And you're right about Footlight Easter Parade, too!

Did you see my post with the Mel Blanc titles I was looking for? (We may have cross-posted.)
