Loislane: Are you still here? You mentioned you might see Caroline or Change on Broadway. I'd sure like to hear what you thought about it.

Ahh, haven't made it there yet...I mistakenly got tix for...SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!! Oh, well, it should be easy to drive there!

Anyway, since I have no vested interest in the teams playing anyway, and love theater, who cares?!

bree mentioned earlier on that she thought Tonya Pinkens was superb and luckily, she is in this production-not always the case with road companies!
So I shall report this coming weekend on how the show is!

And you sure sneaked in there and took my Bobby DeNiro! I forgot about Angel Heart! duh.

I love the new format, especially connecting the clues with a whacky story, but I'm on a giant search at the moment so might not make it back before bree, mac or wandeljw scoop me!

Don't know how long we'll be able to keep this format going, but it's fun while we're doing it.

Good luck on your search.

I've been having computer problems at the office this afternoon, so I won't be scooping anybody. Raggedy's question looks interesting -- maybe if no one solves it by this evening, I can work on it at home.

Yes indeed, Lois. Bette Davis is the actress and you got all the movies, except for the last hint. I did some googling and found out that the Green Corn Harvest is a celebration of Native Americans. Like Bree said, this is a very educational game. Very Happy

The Corn is Green is the movie I had in mind.

Do you have a question for us?

OK, I'm trying out Aggie's new method--hope I don't get all twisted! Laughing

I sat down with
1) Ruth's sister
to make sure that she knew
2) what no superior woman should ever be!
I discovered her
3) dinnerware with watery stains
were going to make
4) headlines and if she didn't take her houskeeping chores seriously, I'd know where to put the blame.

OK, whew. Should be easy  with all the hints, but that was fun!!

I hate to say this but I think there is something gender-related about my inability to formulate questions with the new format. (Everyone has been able to do it except me.)

And you don't have to follow that format if you don't want to, Wandeljw. We just thought a change of pace would be nice.

I'm stuck in a rut. I can't get Rosalind Russell (My Sister Eileen and Auntie Mame) and Rita Hayworth (The Story on Page One for the headlines) and Gilda out of my mind.)

Am I even close with either of those Loislane?

And then there's Janet Leigh, who was in the 1955 remake of My Sister Eileen -- but I can't make any of the other clues fit her. Unless maybe "what no superior woman should ever be" = Psycho?

It's the "I'd know where to put the blame" that has me thinking:

Rita Hayworth:
Gilda (Put the Blame on Mame)
Headlines - The Story on Page one
Superior Woman - Down to Earth?
Dinnerware - Separate Tables???

and

Rosalind Russell

Ruth's Sister - My Sister Eileen
and maybe Mame
Superior woman clue - Hired Wife? or His Girl Friday

I wonder if Lois's clue is "dinnerware" or "watery stains" or both.

Hard to know -- also with clue #4: is the clue "headlines", or "housekeeping chores", or "blame"?

I can't think of another "Ruth".

And I have no idea what to look for in Clue 4.

so, I'll just have to wait for another clue from Lois.

We gave her three legitimate guesses. (lol)

I'll think about this tomorrow. And I do hope your computer is working again.
