Now 53 here and drizzling, with semi-ominous sky.. Still looking warmer/sunnier the rest of the weekend, re the forecast.

Just got back from a nice lunch with Shewolf, Diane, Dys, Bean, Mr. Wolf, Johnboy, and Walter - at the Calico Cafe. Just before I left to meet them I heard a funny noise, a funny noise I recognized. Yes, roof leaking. I presume it is similar to another about a year and a half ago, involving a roof vent. We shall see. Once I got home I checked the big pan I set on the floor below, and nothing. So far so good.

Damn, I wish I could have joined you guys. The most exciting thing I've done recently is visit my urologist--the closest thing to sex without actually doing anything. At least that's what Gus told me. I hear he cried out "Yes, yes..." during his last prostate probe. Such a complex individual.

I wouldn't have used the word "complex", myself.

And we're off! If everything's on time we'll be in ABQ by 9, picking up the rental and telephoning D&D's around 10. Can't check in before noon, so perhaps someone wants to have brunch/lunch, as previously advanced ...?

Diane has the number.

BBB
Sunshine will be greeting the PDiddies when they arrive. Three balloons floated overhead around 7:30 a.m.

My laptop can't seem to connect. The WiFi signal at the hotel is too weak.
Great to see the sunshine! Any time schedule for this evening?

Far as I know it's still 5pm til whenever, presumably with some coming later because of flight times and checking in at places to stay.

Fine! If I could impose on someone for a ride from the Best Wester Rio Grande, I would be grateful. My time is flexible. The phone number here is 505-843-9500 room #343. Thanks.

I just talked with Diane, and she is saying they've been talking 6pm to give Mame plenty of time to get there. Some of us may still get there earlier.

Dinner tonight at

6:00

Osso is right, Mame isn't getting in soon enough to make it by 5:00, so the time for meeting at the restaurant has been changed to 6:00

Oh good, that means this heatwave is finally moving out of the Central Valley.

103 tomorrow here and then we cool off to the low 90's finally for the rest of the week.

Please keep an eye out on BBB. She doesn't do too well in the high heat.

She did very well at lunchtime.

That is, we just finished the lunch. Unfortunately the shewolf family wasn't with us (and Thomas isn't here yet).

It's now cool(er). (And dark, too. )
