There may be non reserved sites without a charge.

There are seven other covered picnic areas that are non-reserve sites - which look (from the photos I've seen) like they could work for your group.

If a reserved site is preferred, it looks like the double site (up to 50 people) can be reserved by a senior citizen for $25 (+ the damage deposit) . Got any in the group?

(the Kiwanis site holds up to 250 - might be a bit large for the group - mebbe not)

Yer just trying to bait me into admitting I turn 64 in the immediate future, right? I thought there were some free sights in there. Thanks for saving the trouble of looking it up again.

If I get to vote, I'm not voting for anything that costs $125.00 per day, no matter what you divide it by.

You know, ehBeth, I've almost gotten past the idea of thinking you might show up just because I see your name as the last poster. Almost, but not quite.

Wow, with Beth in the mix, we would need the entire weekend for a girl's fest. Really, a full week, no, a month, no, a year.

I've mentioned this before, but what about a female commune with men invited for conjugal visits..........?

This really used to cross my mind quite a lot when I was still married to my ex...

Hell, I'd just like to talk with you all in person. I'm not against the mins, myself. Some female time, sure.

But, get a grip, you two. We have barely gotten a group together for breakfast.

Osso, thank you for reminding us to get a grip. But wouldn't it be fun???? Someday, maybe we can plan an all female gathering to take place during a full moon and howl and dance and allow all that femininity to flow, unchecked. What freedom!

Thank you to all of those who have sent their cell phone numbers and the name of the hotel at which they are staying. I'm hoping the rest of you will send contact information within the next couple of days.

Yippee!

Awww....you guys didn't have to do that! How nice! I'll have to think up something special to do for you. Hmmm.

Have I said how much I'm looking forward to this?

I have?

Well, sorry to be boring, but I am. All these people in one place...WOO HOO!!!

Waves to Eva.

Happy to hear about that weather forecast. Maybe we won't have to be concerned with blazing sun... which could affect picnic site choice. Blankets on the grass at Tingley with pillows and sun hats could be just fine, perhaps with occasional walks to the Rio Grande through the tree section. (We still haven't gone on a site tour/ice cream foray, will post when we know more.)

A weather link, however long it works, http://www.accuweather.com/forecast3.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&zipChg=1&zipcode=87185&metric=0

If it matters, I would be really uncomfortable on the ground, with or without blanked.

Damn right it matters. We plan to check out Gallegos Park soon... Plus the place with benches and tables across Central from Tingley.

I have no problem with getting to the ground, Gravity works. Getting up off the ground can be another issue.

Speaking about "grounding": I've some trouble with my travel agency (expedia), because they don't list the flight from Frankfurt home anymore after I upgraded the flights back to business class (using "shopping points").

Fortunately, it has been noted on my Lufhansa account since March. And still is

So, from what I have read:

Fri eve - Flying Star (which one, btw?)
Sat am - Calico Cafe
Sat eve - D&Ds

I'll do a museum or old town walkabout while the rest of you are having your picnic and maybe head over to D&Ds late afternoon.

Anyone want a ride?
