Nothing is new. Feeling eh. BP went up a bit--a good thing. Appointment tomorrow at 8:30. Yawning already.

Thanks for asking. How's by you?

Good news about your blood pressure level, Roberta.

Sorry you're feeling eh, but good luck for your appointment. Here's hoping all goes well, minus stuff-ups, delays or glitches ... (Now that would be a very nice change! Very Happy )

Don't know if I got the clearance, Izzie. The supervisor of the doctor I saw wanted me to have more blood tests--hyperthyroid thing. The doctor couldn't get the appointment and was supposed to call me. Haven't heard a word.

I see the surgeons on Tuesday. Hope to get a date. And some more info. I have questions.

In a major funk the last few days. As opposed to my usual funk.

@Roberta,
Wishing with all my heart there was more that I could do to help than just care and wait with you Roberta. I'll admit to frustraton, even anger, that the suffering, through no fault of their own, are supposed to accommodate the convenience of others. I would rather you be able to just get on with it, fix it, and be done with it.

But instead I wait for better times with you. But I believe/know that at least those times will come.

I'm of two minds on this. On the one hand, yeah, I absolutely want this over. I want to move on. On the other hand, I don't know if I feel well enough for surgery. Strong enough. It's one of the things I plan to discuss with the docs on Tuesday.

@dlowan,
Deb, I schlep to the hospital at least once a week for one appointment or another. But the neurosurgeon appt. was a challenge to make and a triumph to get. It took a village (patient advocate, some kinda manager, and me).

that does to seem a difficulty, I came out of the hip replacement surgery thinking nothing but recovery from here on on; next blot scan on leg shows numerous clots which have to be treated immediately with injections in the tummy while I am started on Coumadin, next day infection in surgurical incession which needs different anti-biotics, next day what had been diagnosed as a problem with my pancreas turned out to be pneumonia for which I was given another anti-biotic; I had been started on Coumandin in the hosp with a gurarentee of blood level monitoring (never happened) Yesterday 10 days after starting the coumandin I had blood levels done and I was 3 x over what I should beI am receiving zero physical thereapy but using my walker to get around house/toilet/etc, may try to sit outside for awhile in my wheelchair today.

@dyslexia,
Dys, I urged you and Diane to request assistance from the hospital Patient Advocate. Have you done that?

In a woid, dys, oy. Complicated and unexpected complications. Scary stuff. One of my concerns is going home alone. Another question for Tuesday.

I wish things were better for you, kid. I never liked you, but that doesn't mean I wish you ill.
