Back. No one can figure out why I'm not responding to everything I'm taking.

I was treated (Nebulizer) and X-rayed. Nothing, but I knew that. Maybe the meds need longer to kick in.

We discussed admitting me. What would happen if I was admitted that wouldn't happen if I wasn't? They'd watch me. And I could use the Nebulizer more often.

Doc said she trusts asthma patients to know how they feel. I told her that if I felt the way I felt then when I was at home, I wouldn't have come in. Don't see any point in being admitted. She agreed. And she reminded me that I can always come back. True enough.

Not significantly improved. But better than when I woke up.

Gonna have some chicken soup and a chicken sandwich. Gonna try to relax. Not easy with Nebby stuff coursing through you. It gives you the shakes. And heart palpitations.

Gonna call my NYC standby to let her know she can stand down--for now.

Thanks you guys for being my nonlocal standbys. Good to know somebody knows where I am. That's why I gave the name of the hospital.

Your doc sounds cognisant, Roberta. At least you can communicate with a brain and maybe a good person.

I've never wanted to be a pall of one of my md's until my bc surgeon, who would have been a natural real life pal but forgone re ethics and the situation. I'll venture that was a loss for both of us, but agree with the stricture.

@Roberta,
She's back!

OK, sounds good-ish overall. No need for being admitted to the hospital. Felt better at hospital than you had felt at home. (How 'bout now?)

Nebby stuff, chicken soup, that should help.

Thinking of you.

@Roberta,
Do you have a spacer, Boida?

One of these:

http://besttreatments.bmj.com/btuk/images/child-asthma-spacer-optimis_default.jpg

There was a very big study done in Oz comparing them with nebulizers.....and they came out as more effective.

Many hospitals are still ignoring the information, but as I recall it was pretty definitive.

Just a thought...I don't THINK they cost a lot.

Glad you are home.

@Roberta,
Good to hear you're home, Roberta.
Keep up the chicken soup therapy. It is so soothing & GOOD, isn't it? I don't know why, but it always makes me perk up a bit when I'm a bit under the weather. There's gotta be some good reason why it's called "Jewish penicillin, yes? "Here's hoping you're feeling more relaxed, too.

@msolga,
Hope you're having a restful sleep right now, and that the numbers will be good when you wake up.

Long miserable noisy (wheezy) night. No better at all.

Now the radiation has kicked in. Throat hurts. It was bound to happen.
