Next appointment is Wednesday. Gonna drink some barium so that they can see me swallow. That's all I know. This is in the new building. If they make me walk to the old building, I will pitch a hissy fit. Who'd notice? It's Bellevue.

I don't have much to contribute, except to sit here silently with my fingers crossed. Good luck for the next appointment!

@Roberta,
I was a little slow to think of this, but..

I've been to two clinics at the university of new mexico. Their med facilities are a tad spread out over x number of square blocks. When I went to the cancer clinic to be seen with hopes of later getting a low priced mammogram, I parked in the parking lot and there was a guy with a golf cart type thing that takes people from the parking lot to the building a couple of blocks away. Same thing with the eye clinic... which has a main clinic in the big hospital building and another about, uh, six or eight blocks away. There is a tram that takes people between these facilities, and other UNM med facilities.

Thinking, maybe Bellevue has something like that.... if you called and asked before arriving. Which... you might do anyway, to see where you are supposed to go first (UNM always calls the day before to make sure you know the date and the time and place.) If they tell you that you have to go to the old building first, that's a good time to scream and yell. They may have some remedy.....

@ossobuco,
Adding - describe you're walking and breathing difficulties, the asthma attack last time; it's really ridiculous for you to have had to walk that at all, much less so much.

I know hospitals are in a crunch.. but..

@Roberta,
Oh good grief! And all this activity was supposed to lead to an improvement of your health? It shouldn't be so damed hard. I'm really sorry it is, Roberta.

Quote:
Gels and foams are used for patients who are at high risk for caries, orthodontic patients, patients undergoing head and neck radiation, patients with decreased salivary flow, and children whose permanent molars should, but cannot, be sealed.

The gel or foam is applied through the use of a mouth tray, which contains the product. The tray is held in the mouth by biting. Application generally takes about four minutes, and patients should not rinse, eat, smoke, or drink for at least 30 minutes after application.

@Roberta,
Boita, I still remember mine from elementary school, but one would think they have made it better in 30 some years.

Keepin a candle lit for you next to the fish...

@ehBeth,
I'm not sure I'm following this thead post by post..

but I did have such a treatment in the dentist's office some time ago. I hated it.
I assume Berta will. I'm most nonplussed that no one will watch her doing it, given her reasonable gagging responses. Christ, gag outposts????

Meanwhile, we spend zillions on war..
excuse me, off on my own penchant, that anyone would care about the ill. Seems all about numbers.
