@glitterbag,
I don’t know about Bellevue, but in hospitals here it’s impossible to coordinate outpatient appointments in a sane way because the different clinics all use the same rooms....so they all have to be on different days.

Bellevue is huge, so maybe it’s different.

I had the stress test. Results. A "minor glitch" in my heart. "Could be nothing." Now I'm taking baby aspirin.

I have to show up at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning.

Winston and Joe are coming for a visit tonight. I need to see that dog. I need to give him a hug. I'll be glad to see Joe too.

@Roberta,
This possible minor glitch...what are they planning next?

For whatever it's worth, a few years back I was told there was something off with my heart. When I spoke with my friend (a mortician by trade) he said it was normal for people past a certain age. Darned doctors would have saved me from uncomfortable moments if they'd been so kind l

Have a good time with Winston...

...and Joe too.

@Roberta,
What on earth is happening that you have to get up so early?

Had some bad medical stuff with Sebastian

He shut one eye over Easter....had to take him to some vets because my trusted one was on holidays

She put him on steroid drops 8 times a day, with prednisone tablets. This went on for ten days, then I decided eye was regressing. In short he had it out on Thursday. It’s sunday here now and he’s still very sleepy and clingy.

He’s been great with the wound so hasn’t had collar on since getting home.

Eye looked very abnormal. Hoping it was glaucoma but it’s being thoroughly tested for malignancy. Seeing vet in a week so hopefully will know how bad or good his prognosis is then.

@Roberta,
I'm back and I'm fine.

Whatever showed up on the CT scan wasn't there, so there was no biopsy. However, They did mess around in my throat and managed to knock out a tooth.

They want me to have another scan soon. This has happened before. Sigh.

But good news is good news.

@Roberta,
Did you WANT that tooth? Did they hurt you?

What’s with you and the disappearing things?

Glad it’s not there!

Good bloody absolute grief

Sebastian escaped today and took off for ages....he was so fast he gazumped me.

Then a favourite auntie of his visited and he was ecstatic

@dlowan,
I'm missing so many teeth that if they hadn't told me about the tooth, I probably wouldn't have noticed.

Yes, my throat and neck are sore, but not too bad. I'm glad this is over.

Sebastian is a bandito. But you knew that. I'm glad he's active and being himself.

@Roberta,
You were worrying about the return of the dreaded bug. I gather you no longer are? If so yay.

My tummy is meh

I’ve had an extraordinarily difficult year.

@dlowan,
I'm still worried about the return of the dreaded bug. When I had a bad reaction to the latest round of antibiotics, I started taking the med I took when I had the bug. It wasn't a cure, but it kept things under control. I just finished the prescription. We'll see what happens.

Sorry you're meh. Difficult years can meh-ify you.

@Roberta,
I had the colonoscopy today. You would think that with all the advances in medicine, they could come up with a drink that doesn't taste awful. If they have, it wasn't the crap I had to drink--a whole gallon.

They found a polyp which is being biopsied. They also had a problem getting to the right side of my intestine. If I have to go back, I'm gonna be mucho pissedo.

@Roberta,
After a spine fusion surgery, it takes 3 to 12 months to return to most normal daily activities, and the success rate in terms of pain relief is probably between 70% and 90%, depending on the condition the spine surgery is treating.

@dlowan,
I have a follow-up appointment next week. I'll find out then if I have to go back. My tummy is not entirely behaving. Nothing new there.

I'm thinking about little Sebastian. How is he doing?
