@Roberta,
You held off from mentioning that the Ten Commandments were invented before Jesus was a twinkle in his daddy's ectoplasm, or whatever the hell gods are supposed to be made of?

@dlowan,
I held off from mentioning a lot. Did not want to get into a debate. Fortunately he switched to espanol partway through. I responded, and he got sidetracked. (Muy peligroso. Si, es muy peligroso.)

What a day. Still catching up on sleep. I'm on a bathroom break now.

I take 11 meds a day. With the two new ones, I took 15 pils yesterday. By the time I finished getting down my before sleep pills, it was almost time to wake up. But I think I'm breathing a little easier. Too soon to be sure.

@dlowan,
Bunny, I finished a proofreading job last week and the editing job this week. I have no idea when I'm going to be paid. No word yet. Hey, what's the hurry?

I ordered in Chinese food. Last night I had soup, spring roll, and pork dumplings. (Three appetizers = one meal)

Tonight I'm having soup and half an order of roast pork lo mein. Tomorrow I'll have the third soup and the rest of the lo mein. Three meals from three soups, two appetizers and one main course.

Not the greatest meal. But I can chew everything, and I can afford the whole shmear.

A lot of pills.

I heard from my cousin Robin. She's praying for me. She wanted my Jewish name. I think I spelled it right. Prayers in different languages and religions. Can't miss.

I love this. Holy moley. Universal praying. The irony is that I don't pray. But I do believe that positive thoughts and feelings are a good thing. Being in people's thoughts and prayers is a good thing. It makes me feel good to know about it. Let's face it. It can't hoit.

I'm a hoper.

Osso, The dumplings were good. A little too doughy. But the dipping sauce was wonderful. Tart, salty, spicy. Just right.

@Roberta,
For you, I'll think positive thoughts.

I need a photo though. Recent. Why the hell didn't I take one when I had you at my moicy?

I love making meals of soups and entrees and such.

Also, lazy healthy. At present I am buying these ready made Asian salad veg, or just mixed salads, and adding tuna and fresh herbs, or a little hummus and fresh herbs, or chicken and stuff, and having an enormous meal that is humming with freshness and vitamins and fibre and, doubtless, anto-oxidants with almost no fat or bad stuff. Yes, I COULD make these amazing mixes of veg and salad myself, but WOULD I? sadly I think not.

You know COPD makes a poison anxious, don't you? here's a tip I read about....if you are feeling breathless, often having a fan blowing gently into your face helps with the distress, or so they tell me.

I know you have lots of other reason to be anxious, of course...

You know the New Zealand joke about Hindus, of course?

It makes sense in a New Zillun accent.

"What's a Hindu?"

"Lays eggs, of course" responds the puzzled New Zealander.

@dlowan,
Deb, Thanks for the positive thoughts. You're a pal.

A recent photo? Don't you remember what I look like. I remember what you like. I'll think about it. Mame took one of me and Thomas. Not keen on current pictures on the Internet. I'll ruminate.

Glad you're eating well with attention to your health. I have salads occasionally. But they're not as healthy as yours. I throw in cheeses and meats and whatever is lying around. But I get my greenery that way.

Yes, I have plenty of reasons to be anxious. Don't know how to break it you you, bunny, but it's winter here. It's steenkin' cold. NO FANS. A fan might calm me down, but I could get pneumonia and croak. BTW, I have a fan blowing gently on my face in the summer. Just as noivous in the summer as I am in the winter. So much for theories.

You're a very good kid. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Thanks for the joke. A groaner.

@dlowan,
Bunny, I don't have a photo that's recent. Sorry.

Back from Bellevue. Had the EKG and the chest X-ray without delay. Then I decided to head up to the ENT clinic and try to straigthen things out with a doctor face to face.

Not belliegerent. Not pathetic. I explained the situation to the person behind the desk. Within a half-hour I was talking to a doctor. All is now clear.

Bethie, Set with long hair? You do have an imagination, don't you?

If that mental image doesn't get her to post a photo, nothing else will!

Roberta, wish I was close enough to deliver a large warm bowl of chicken soup to you. You'll have to do with just the thought of it for now.

Footnote: As I was leaving the hospital, I realized that I had forgotten to put on jewelry. Not a good sign of my mental state. I thought, "I'd feel better if I could pet a dog." I was on the lookout.

When I got to the bank, I saw a King Charles spaniel standing in line looking cute. When I got closer, I realized that the person holding the leash was my doorman. I guess he was walking the dog for one of the tenants. I asked if I could pet the dog. Sure. I did. I felt instantly better. Maybe the only thing more potent than chicken soup.

Thanks for the offer, Butrefly.
