Surgery--Again

Butrflynet, She didn't know about the form. She wanted to talk to me about the results of the test and the scrip. And she didn't say she wanted to see me. But she was trying to reach me by phone which is not easy during daylight hours.

I decided to wait because I had work to do. I could do it here. I could do it there. Either way it got done.

Still sore and swollen. I have a very colorful bruise on my chin. Still eating mush.

The story of my calls to the Medicaid office are on my kvetch thread.

I ain't that tired, but I think I'm gonna take a nap, just on general principle.

I'm hoping that as the spot where the tooth had been heals, you will have less pain/ discomfort than you did before the surgery? If the tooth couldn't be saved, it had to be hurtin'.

Soz, The tooth was broken. It didn't hurt unless it moved. Too much decay to save it. The spot where the tooth was doesn't hurt much. But my jaw is swollen and very sore.

Iz, My urinary symptoms could have been the diabetes or an infection. That's why I had the blood tests and why I peed in the cup. The urine analysis was inconclusive. That's why the doc wanted to talk to me. She didn't want to give me antibiotics if it's not an infection. I said, gimme the meds. I can't stand running to the bathroom. I can't get any decent sleep.

I'll get the scrip filled manana.

A UTI could have resulted from an infection related to the late departed tooth. Not a wildly rare occurrence.

Them teeth seem related to just about everything. I have a steel implant in my left arm, and have to take antibiotics before even getting my my teeth cleaned.

bethie, All the tests were done before the tooth was pulled. And the problem has existed for some time. It may be a result of radiation to my nether region. Lots of infections.

The tooth problem has probably existed for months - junk in your mouth does nasty stuff to your entire body. Really quite fascinating.

Bethie, Radiation to my throat has been doing nasty things to my mouth for years. The nasties are now manifesting.

Back from Bellevue. I went there to try to straighten out the Medicaid/Medicare matter so that I could keep my appointments for this week.

I went armed with a summary of my finances and my Medicaid and Medicare cards. Not good enough. I gotta bring copies of my taxes and W-2s and my Social Security notification letter. I also had to go to the Medicaid office to find out when my Medicaid was terminated. December! God knows what I've been charged for since then.

I rescheduled my two appointments for this week. I go back to the dentist on Thursday to get my stitches out. I'll go to Bellevue with the right papers and get things straightened out (she said opitmistically/naively).

Took on another editing job. Two edits; one proofread. I must be nuts.

Sturgis, Yes, even I noticed the gorgeous weather.

I've been thinking--always dangerous. Look at all the trouble I'm having. I'm a college graduate and of above-average intelligence. I asked today if there was some way I could have found out what to bring before I got there. Nope.

I'm wondering how people not so smart or educated with language difficulties navigate that place. There's plenty of people there, so they must be doing something right.

Not gonna sigh. I gotta do some work.

OH NO! I know that has to worry you. I hope you get it straightened out quickly. I don't know how ANYONE would know to bring that other stuff. It would have never occured to me. However - I can't claim to be above average intelligence. I can't imagine how you do it.
