@dlowan,
At the moment, nothing. I little while ago, a can of Pepsi. Carried the dinner plate in one hand and the glass in the other. The liquid refreshment was in the pocket. A mechiah.

@Roberta,
I do believe stress will exacerbate asthma. Many years ago, my MIL wrote that she was coming to visit us for a couple of weeks. Not asking, mind you, but telling us.

I called to tell my mother the news. When I related what happened, I started to choke up, and wheeze so badly, that after a few minutes, I could barely talk.
Interaction with the IRS (of any kind) is way up there in the list of stressors.

Back from Bellevue.

I saw the psychiatrist. He thinks I'm doing well, relatively speaking. He wasn't suprised that I had an asthma attack while talking to the IRS.

He was preparing my prescription on the computer. Then he said something like "Hmmmm," or "Well, now."

The computer told him that I was now a geriatric patient and did he want to change the dosage.

Geriatric? Question Shocked

What did I do? What did I say?

I burst out laughing and said, "Hey, I've got a new adjective!"

He laughed too. He told me that I had a European attitude toward aging. People there, he said, just age. They don't seem overly concerned about getting older or looking older.

This geriatric kid is gonna take a nap.

@Rockhead,
tsar, I can dream about lotto wins, but I ain't gonna win nuttin' if I don't buy a ticket. "Lost" fountain of youth? I never had one to lose. I had a decent nap, thanks.

RH, Never mind your glute, right or left. No snoring on my thread.

@Roberta,
And now gerontologists study you!

One minute it's a neonatologist, then it's a gerontologist.

@dlowan,
Okey dokey. In addition to the snuggling winter wear, I bought the following:

2 bras. The first time in years the elastic is actually elastic.

1 pair of jeans. They fit. The first time in many years that I have a pair of pants that fit. They're a tad long though. Have I shrunk so much that I've become a petite?

7 tops. I made a mistake here. I kept ordering different shades of blue. When they arrived, the blues weren't all that different.

Lime green top, partial button down the front
Lavendar top, Keyhole neckline
Bluish purple top. Crew neck.
Cream and aqua plaid shirt
White blouse
Navy shirt.
Dark purple short sleeve blouse

For many years I've worn only clothes that were given to my by kind and generous people. Most were preworn and almost none were in my colors. I was grateful to have them and didn't think much about the colors.

When I ordered the cozy warm stuff, the fleece top was a soft aqua. I put it on and was reminded of my colors. Colors I chose to wear. Colors that looked good on me. Cold colors. Blues, greens purples. It felt wonderful. I went a bit nuts. All on sale though.

I won't be buying anymore tops for a long time. I may buy another pair if pants if I have the money.

I will never wear the kinds of clothes I used to wear. But it feels wonderful to be able to wear clothes that fit and that are the colors I like in styles chosen by me. What a treat.
