Things are not going well in the breathing department. I'm worse than I was yesterday.

I'm doing exactly for myself what they would do for me in the hospital. I just took a dose of steroids. And I'm about to turn on the Nebulizer. If things don't improve in and hour or two, I'm going to have to go back (AAAARGH!). This time I might go to Mount Sinai. An excellent emergency room, especially for asthma. And closer to home.

I'll keep you guys posted.

If I had more breath, I'd be muttering more dirty words.

PS: The Nebulizer makes my blood pressure go up.

PPS: I haven't slept in two days.

TWO DAYS.

Good grief.

Hope you don't have to go back but glad that you will make the right decision, whatever that may be. (Me, I can't tell from here.) I heart pragmatists.

@sozobe,
Yes, two days.

The nebulizer helps, but the help doesn't linger. Right now I'm feeling a bit better. I'll take another shot and then try going to sleep.

I'm also regularly checking my peak flow. It's lower than it was yesterday, but higher than it was an hour ago. I'm doing everything they do in the hospital. And I do it for free.

Well, not everything. I've never been intubated, and I don't wanna be. And the doc at Bellevue said he was reluctant to do it. Sounds right to me.

I'm remembering listening to my grandparents' discussions about their health (mostly my grandmother). How could anyone possibly talk that much about health? Then it moved to my parents' generation? An entire phone conversation about health. Couldn't believe it. And now it's become my life. Another of life's little ironies.

Hey. life. Enough with the ironies.

@dlowan,
Breathing a little easier. I'll have one more Neb treatment and try sleeping. I'm also gonna have to make it from the living room to the bedroom without panting. Couldn't do that an hour ago.

@Ragman,
Nuttin' wrong with landsleit, and I already have a lochen koppe. Two I don't need. Also I'm only half Litvak, I think.

I nebbed. I hope there's nothing wrong with my machine. It used to sound like gregorian chanters. Today I heard a tenor or two.

Feeling better enough to try sleeping.

I got scared.

Awake and breathing in one and a half directions. Slept for about 12 hours. Breathing is a tad better today so far. A small tad. A ta.

Couldn't make the tax phone calls today. Maybe manana. Quien sabe.

Gonna neb. Somewhat concerned about the tenors. They don't belong in Gregorian chanting.
