Everyone is rejected.
This is pure bureaucracy at its worst.
re-apply.
Make them miserable.
Write your Congressman. (really)
Re-apply.

Izzie, I have plenty of ice cream. No lip balm. I have what is referred to as a fat lip, like someone hit me. I've taken my asthma meds. So I'm breathing okay. But my diaphragm muscles are sore, so it hurts to take a deep breath. You go fly, and thanks for the hug.
Feh.

A little chicken soup?
Often, it's hard for the ill to trackdown the sort of help needed. Isn't there a person that could help you do some of the looking?

I agree. The squeaky wheel does usually get the grease. I also agree with edgar that it would be nice if you have a friend or neighbor who can take on the advocacy campaign.
Waiting is hell. Waiting without illusions is double hell. Allow yourself some illusions, Roberta. Maybe the surgeon doesn't have such a good record for spotting suspicious growths.
Thinking of you. ((( Roberta )))
Agreeing with JoeN and JPB. I know bupkis about Medicaid but I know a lot about SSI, and there are similarities. I know so many people who were rejected for SSI, then kept applying, and they were eventually accepted.
Hey, you mentioned disability too, so that was probably SSI or SSDI.
I know it's a lot of effort though and that's the last thing you need right now.
Glad you got some sleep.
Thanks for keeping us updated...
If the above doesn't work find a lawyer who specializes in Medicaid Law, who might want to work for free...
Thank you all for the advice. I'll discuss your suggestions with my social worker.
Right now I'm too sore and tired to do much of anything but complain, whine, and kvetch. Let's face it, I'm very good at all three and can manage to reach great heights without expending much effort at all.
For some strange reason, I can't lift my arms. My diaprhagm is very sore. I couldn't get out of bed for a long time. Couldn't sit up. Like a toitle on it's back. (How'm I doing, kvetchwise?)
I've set aside today as a lump day (sit around like a lump). Just as well. I can't really do much of anything. I'll contact the social worker tomorrow.
Throwing in a feh just on general principle.
Feh.
<sighing> One of the problems with A2k is that you meet and like too many people to 'be there' for in person.
Wishing you luck and speedy good health.
Excellent feh graphic, reg. I salute you.
I think you need a tenacious little terrier in your corner, Roberta
Roberta, I'm sorry. I know you're tired. I just know that there is some program out there that will help you. I can't be of much assistance, but your social worker should be the best source.

here's some major kvetching, from me to you:
Think of them as a bunch of lovely kvetch flowers, from one who understands.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Boida)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Kvetch away, nice and loud.
All I can say is, lord, won't you buy me.. a mercedes benz --- as a sort of wail filiment.
Rest. Breathe.
Thinking of you (a lot), Roberta, as I go about my daily business.
Rockhead, Thanks for the hug. I can always use a hug, especially between kvetches.
Tai, A terrier in my corner. Can't ask for more than that.
Margo, sknaht from upabove.
Swimpy, My social worker has been trying to find help for me for some time. I just don't fit into the kind of neat package that seems to be required. I'll let her know what's going on now. Maybe she'll have better luck.
Deb, Can always do with some major kvetching. Thanks for the bunny.
Osso, I'll pass on the Mercedes. I'll take the cash instead.
Olga, Thanks, kid.
Oh dear! I just found this...been gone almost a week now.
I'm so sorry to hear you're going through all of this, Roberta! I hope you can find some calm in the midst of this storm. Please take care of yourself. You mean a lot to us.
