Hey reg, What makes ya think I got a Noo Yawk accent?

Rockhead, Pinstripes? I haven't worn those in decades. Wait. Did I ever wear pinstripes? Mebbe yes, mebbe no.

Mac is right littlek. Manana. But I appreciate your heading back here and your concern.

I got a call from the surgeon (in person). I'm scheduled to be first. I have to show up at 6 a.m. This could mean that I won't have much of a wait. Or it could mean that I'll have the same four hour wait, but that it will start an hour earlier. I don't waste my optimism on city hospitals.

Last week I had an appointment there. I was told to get there at 8 a.m. NO LATER! I was there. I was seen at 10:15.

Sigh. Is this over yet? Getting noivous. Not accurate. I've been noivous. Getting more noivous.

Roberta- Good deal! There have been studies which show that early surgery is much better than later ones, before the staff gets tired.

You'll be home before you know it!

Yes, I prefer getting in early, getting out early--theoretically.

Yeah, I have a Noo Yawk accent, but not quite as pronounced as you might expect, or hope.

It was my parents and grandparents and their generation who pronounced my name with that oi sound. I don't talk like that--except here.

But I do have other Noo Yawky sounds in my speech. Hey, I'm from Noo Yawk. How else would I talk?

BTW, youse is plural, and I know it to be pronounced as yiz, as in, "Yiz'll be able to see it soon."

Oh Hey "Bertie" - there - now Boida with a Brit accent - don't be noivous girl - well, try not to be. This time tomorrow - it'll all be sorted - I'd fast forward for you, if I could - you'll be just coco girl. Have a little rest and then get back soon - all well - and tell us how you are.

Be thinking of you. Smile

Oms and happy thoughts winging their way.

I wanted to send flowers, then I got carried away, so here's the New York Botanical Garden Smile

So you should be home with a nilla shake this time tomorrow?

That'd be good.

We'll be around.

osso, Nice pic of you at the Botanical Gardens. Of course I have an alarm clock. I have two.

Make mine chocolate, bethie.

I'm going to sleep early (by my standards--it will be dark out).

I'll check in when I get home.

I'm grateful to all of you.

OK, that looks good. I think we should all have one (or a nilla shake) in camaraderie.
