It was a long and exhausting day--and absolutely GLORIOUS. WONDERFUL. I LOVE these people.

Fell asleep only twice. I noticed when I arrived that the Christmas stocking with my name on it was hanging on the mantle and was full. Even after I told them not to get me anything. Great, thoughtful, and fun loot. Two gifts made me cry.

Dinner was poifect. Garden salad. Roast leg of lamb (these folks like well done. I can't chew well done. Sheila cut off a chunk for me and started it after the rest. My piece was not well done, and it was tender enough for me to eat), fresh steamed asparagus (cooked to perfect al dente perfection), and roasted potatoes. POIFECT, I tell ya.

They got me my own little chocolate cake. Also poifect. We talked, we laughed, we teased, we played Texas hold 'em poker. (I won again. I'm incorrigible.)

This was my first truly social day in a long time. With people I love. It was glorious. I'm pooped.

I hope that you each also enjoyed the holiday. Maybe had a good meal, maybe got some good loot, and had the chance to be with people you love. Happy day after Christmas.

I was just on the phone with Boida, I believe she is now as stupid as I am. It's nice having someone to talk to who understands what I say. She still thinks New Mexico is part of New Jersey.

@Thomas,
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/full.html

My world clock (which I'm posting all over A2K!) will tell you that it is actually 9:38 am in Melbourne, Australia! As I type.

So good morning Thomas, good morning Roberta! Very Happy

Izzie, I slept for 20 hours the day after Christmas and about 13 hours the day after the day after. I would call that tired.

dys, The issue is which of us was stupid first. Am I as stupid as you, or are you as stupid as me? I may me dropping IQ points, but I'm just as picky as ever. According to Thomas's map, there is no New Mexico, let alone the place you live in that I used to be able to spell.

olga, dys, and Thomas, Don't confuse me with geography and time zones. It's hard enough keeping track of the day and time where I am. You're each responsible for your own day and time. Give a goil a break.

I thought were were clarifying things, Roberta.
