I'm with CJ. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Roberta.

Do yourself a favor and release some of that anger by yelling at the doctors who were supposed to have told you this after the surgery. I feel sure you can come up with just the right words.

I had plenty to yell at them about before this happened. Now I'm geared up on the one hand and in a weakened and not entirely rational state on the other. Somehow I'll say what needs to get said (I hope).

BTW, Just in case anyone is interested, I asked Thomas to post a photo for me in the Beautiful Animals thread. (Don't know how to do a link.) The picture is of two kids; one of them is a goat. The photo was taken at the Bronx Zoo.

Obviously, this is more medspeak. In any other context, I would say 'benign' sounded pretty good. You have probably discovered that when they say 'The patient is experiencing some discomfort', the mean writhing on the floor in agony.

@Region Philbis,
If we have an outbreak of goat flu, it is going to be very hard to blame the Chinese.

Thanks for the additional sympathies about the bad news. I've been in a funk (what a surprise) and haven't felt much like talking.

Glad you like the photo. I ran across it several weeks back. Thought about how I call people "kid" and thought it would be appropriate at a2k where many of the kids are. I can't scan pics into my computer, so I waited for an opportunity to meet up with somebody who could. That Thomas is a good kid.

Roger, I don't know what the lifespan of goats is, but I'm fairly certain that the goat in the picture is just a memory by now. No goims from that kid.

That's perfectly understandable, Roberta.

Just talk when you feel like talking.

In the meantime, I'll keep enjoying that great photograph! Smile

I was thinking about you on Saturday, Roberta, as Thomas and I wandered around Flatbush Avenue near Prospect Park looking for a place to eat some breakfast.
Where did you grow up? Near there?

Joe(we did find a cramped, noisy joint. Nice and cheap.)Nation
