@Roberta,
Discharge? 5 days after brain surgery? Really?

@Roberta,
Neurosurgery at Bellevue, please watch our Roberta.

That unit is undoubtedly in constant travail, but I don't care. I would love that they were better funded, multiply better funded.
Take care of Roberta.

Now I know I'm a bit of a worrier, but this really concerns me.

I hope Roberta manages to stay put for a while (at least) longer.

@msolga,
Indeed. (You stay here for weeks in hospital plus a sanatorium/clinic later.)

Get my cell number from Thomas and call if you need anyone to help with anything. Shopping. schlepping, picking up, whatever.

Fingers crossed that they keep her over the weekend... it's crazy to go from surgery/ICU to home that fast.

Checking in.

The Cheetah cub expresses his opinion about a too-early discharge.

They like to discharge before the weekend - typical for hospitals. I do hope
they'll keep Roberta until at least Monday, perhaps longer. Why don't they
give her more powerful painkillers so she doesn't have to endure the
headaches?

@Roberta,
Hi Sheila! I'm back in New Jersey, so if there's anything I can help, just call me. I just sent a Private Message with my number to the "Roberta" account. And since Joe Nation wanted you to have his too, I took the liberty of including it too.

(In case you're not famililar with Private Messages: They are an e-mail-ish feature on this site. You get to them by clicking on the "Inbox link" at the very top right of the page.)

@CalamityJane,
Yeh, our big discharge time was Saturday morning, and major influx time was Sunday afternoon. But, I'd be surprised if she doesn't stay the weekend.

Or would I...

PS: I lost track of the hospital Roberta is in. Could one of you clue me in? I'm planning to visit her Saturday or Sunday.

@Roberta,
Oh wow! You're home & you're talking to us again! Very Happy Very Happy

I hope you've got plenty of support (medical & the day-to-day variety), Roberta!

So how are you feeling now? Do you still have the headaches? I expect you'd be resting/sleeping a lot of the time? Are there arrangements for food & care in place?

Please excuse all these questions, Roberta. You might not have the energy to answer them all. I just want to know you'll be OK.

But it is LOVELY to see you, though! (hug, hug, hug!)
