@Roberta,
I suffer from dry mouth without knowing why....it's just something I live with. The dentist gave me a product GC Dry Mouth Gel - GC Dental Products Corp - Japan - comes in a little tube like a toothpaste tube. I think it might be a brand new thing.

They got it as a sample and suggested I try it. You just put a little dab on the inside of your cheek or on your gums...you don't swallow it--and it reallly does help.

You're not supposed to use it if you have hydroxybenzoates allergy tho.

Well, hey! If you find something you're good at, stick with it. I'm pretty good at worrying, too.

@roger,
There there.

Likely Boida's doctor feels she is at no risk of diluting her electrolytes in a dangerous way by drinking more water.

Guilt? Exceeded your wildest dreams? My work here is done. I guess I have to leave now. Don't wanna go, but that's the way things work. My departure is on your head, Roger. (How's that for guilt?)

deb, I share your thoughts on the electrolytes. Don't tell Roger I said that.

@Izzie,
Giganto bear hug and sloppy kiss back atcha, kid.

Glad about the kettle on. I could use something hot. It went from summer to winter here--in a heartbeat. Spring is always a bit meshuga in the northeast. Too late for snow, methinks. I remember snow in April, but never in May.

@Roberta,
Can you tolerate hot now Roberta? Can you have a cup of tea yet?

@Foxfyre,
I can tolerate almost hot. Hot but blow on it. Kinda sorta hot.

Haven't had a cuppa tea. I don't drink tea or coffee without some kind of sweetener. Can't handle the sweetener--even an artificial one.

But I can eat Oreos--one of the few sweet/chocolate things that doesn't make me choke. If I'd known this was going to happen, I'd have bought stock in Nabisco (if I had money). I'm eating a lot of Oreos--A LOT. Many Oreos. Massive amounts of these cookies.

I was actually considering starting a thread about Oreos. Still pondering the possibility. Still losing weight, too. Yes, with all the Oreos. (Did I mention I'm eating a lot of Oreos?)

@Roberta,
The all-Oreo diet! I definitely sense marketing potential.

Popping out of my little fortress here to say "Hi Boidy" and to give you a big hug.

In that list of mouth moisteners that EhBeth provided, the list of ingredients of most listed artifitial sweeterers like sorbitol and aspartame. Have you tried the sugar free chewing gums? Or mabe you could try putting a packet of Equal in your tea? I think that contains either sorbitol or aspartame.

We miss you terribly. When you feel up to being teased by Bob, let me know. He'll be sure to let you know how much he doesn't like you. Then I'll get on and we can just talk.

@Roberta,
Laughing

Well you could do worse than eat Oreos. Have you tried all sweeteners? Splenda for instance? I tolerate it far better than any other. Or have you tried honey?

When I was pregnant with my second child, I experienced what was laughingly called 'morning sickness' for several months--I say laughingly because it could hit me at any time of day. The one thing that I could consistently tolerate and keep down was popcorn. I'm sure Jolly Time's stock went up significantly during those months.

I wonder why you can tolerate the sugar in Oreos but not in tea? But anyway I've some great tea blends here and hope you will be able to enjoy that again soon.

@Diane,
From my perspective, this seems like the perfect time for Dys to give Roberta some abuse. After all she can't talk back. He'll never have it so easy again!
