@Izzie,
Hiya Izzie, As much as I would like to hear from you, the fact is that I would prefer a conversation to a monolog. If you're gonna be making overseas calls, why not wait until I can talk, so that we have a two-way discussion?

Thanks for the offer, though. Nothing like someone yabbering in my ear to brighten an otherwise gloomy day.

I hate to break it to ya, kiddo, but yabbering is not your thing.

I'm gonna hold you to that, Izzie.

My ear is minisculy (is there such a word?) better today. Maybe. I think. Ouch. Then again, maybe not.

Ear and throat still hurt. The ear is constant. The throat--only when I swallow and sometimes even when I'm not swallowing.

A coitin poysin did a nice thing for me. I would have liked to say thanks via PM. No such luck. Second cherce, e-mail. Couldn't find said poysin's address. Third cherce--snail mail. Hey, coitin poysin. I sent you a lettah. Smile

I attended my first social activity in about three months! Can't be all that social when I can't talk.

I attended a screening of my friend's daughter's documentary film at the Museum of Modern Art. It's called "Sync or Swim." It's about the U.S. synchronized swimming team. She did a fine job. It felt good to be with people who aren't doctors or nurses. I talked, but was I heard? Not much. Glad I went.

My ear hurts a bit less today.

I'm still waiting to find out whether a certain organization is going to pay my rent for February. Yes, a little late. Sigh.

I had to call in an interpreter to figure this message out, Roberta! Wink
Now I'm as delighted as you! Very Happy

I was a bit premature with the ear news.

I called the rent lady. No response.

Sigh.

Heard from the rent lady. Her organization will pay the lion's share of my February rent. I gotta make up the difference. Sad

What about March, which is practically upon us? Dunno.

On the "how do I feel?" front, the same. Ear and throat pain. No voice. No new foods. I'm reluctant to try new tastes. I gotta buy something to eat it. If I can't eat it, it goes to waste. An extravagance I can't afford. I did try chocolate ice cream. That can keep. Tastes kinda weird. Not muddy, but not chocolatey. Not good. Sigh.
