Early games are in, including the Giants and Eagles. What was the name of that Michigan fight song? Laughing

Don't go counting those chickens just yet, doc. There's still week 17 to survive.

I picked the Cleveland/Cincy game wrong but that's okay. Cleveland's loss helps MY Steelers.

wandel must be pleased.

I am pleased but it would be wrong for me to gloat. When the Bears beat the Packers earlier this year -- I had picked the Packers. I was so ashamed of myself that I vowed to pick Chicago every week no matter what.

Favre threw two interceptions. What's with that?

c.i.,

You should experience the weather in Chicago today like I did. There are violent winds and the temperatures are in the teens. The Bears had a "Plan B and Plan C" for weather contingencies. The Packers seemed less prepared.

sidebar...

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking the windows were going to blow in. The furnace was running a lot during the night. Around 6:00 the daytime temp on the furnace kicked in and ran and ran and ran and ran and...

Eventually, I was melting and decided to get up. I went downstairs and felt colder and colder as I approached the first floor. What the...? I found the back door WIDE open and the downstairs temp in the 40s (outdoor temp 18). My first thought was to do a cat count - one, two, three. All present and safe (we've had a very large coyote running the 'hood lately). Then I noticed that the downstairs lights were all on. What the....? I decided I'd better do a kid count - one, two. Whew!

It's still howling and it's still frigid and I'm left pondering why I thought of the cats before the kids. Confused

Scary, JPB. Probably because the kitties were downstairs and readily available for the count.

Couple of interesting surprises in the games.

The winds have died down. I hope everything is okay at JPB's house!

(If you are okay, can you give us interim stats, JPB?)

Jes is the only one who can make a move on the pack tonight. Given that, it looks like CowDoc will go into week 17 with a four game lead. But then it gets interesting....

Ragman has only a one game lead over ehbeth and a two game lead over LTX for second place. ci is still holding on to fifth place with a one game lead over rjb, two game lead over wandel, and three game lead over osso.

I'll post the overall standings tomorrow sometime.

Has anyone mentioned Favre's QB rating? I think it was 1.2 or something like that. Funny stuff.

It looks like I forgot to add in the Arizona wins for each of us. The numbers should all be one higher but the standings won't change.

I believe I have ten wins: Steelers, Cowboys, Giants, Lions, Colts, Jaguars, Cardinals, Patriots, Titans, and Seahawks.

Please double check my choices. Thx. T.
