Thanks, sumac, for joining us. Good luck to you. Using logic would indeed be novel here.
I was babysitting this site this week while JPB was away. I consider it to be a real coup to be able to present her with a new player.

It was great to see JPB walk into my store in Cville Thursday. I met her in Chicago at the A2K gathering we had there two years ago. She, along with a couple of other folks, made our visit very enjoyable.

So now it is Sunday. NFL rules. Weather forecasts around the game sites call for rain at best in many places and, in Philly, "ice pellets." I have never heard that forecast before.

Here in C'ville at 7 am it was 34 degrees outside. 56 degrees inside. The power went out during the night. To their credit, even though only a few customers were affected, the power company got us all back on after only a few hours.

Good luck in this week's games.

Why no other picks from others here? No public posting? What gives?

Hey, John-Boy, glad the power guys were so efficient.
Funny, I never think of it getting that cold in Virginia.

Stay warm, bro.

Local forecast calls for "a wintry mix expected overnight".
Wintry mix, eh? Sounds like a fancy coffee concoction.
"Would you like a biscotti with that?"

The early games are over and Ragman and ehbeth have each only lost two. Most of the rest of us near the top have three or four red marks. Lion has six.
Sumac, who just joined, using logic, has just 3 wrong.
How are the rest of yall doing?

I did the pen-and-paper table thingy (waaay too much time on my hands) and can confirm that the early pacesetters are MizCowdoc and JPB, with 9 out of 10 so far. Only for a last-ditch field goal by the Bills, they would have had perfect 10's.

Ragman, Ehbeth and Pantalones have 8; Osso, Wande & Cowdoc have 7; there's a batch of sixes, George and RP have 5.

Jespah's anagrams (my thanks to google and nfl.com for helping me there) have left her propping up this weeks table (so far) with 4, alongside LTX.

Edgarblythe has 8 as well. Apologies for the omission (used "eb" as shorthand for him 'n Ehbeth).

So there were only 4 late games. I didn't fare too well. You there, Imur, with the pencil and paper (invest in a red and green highlighter tomorrow), how are we doing?
