When I was in the Navy, we had one LT Jg who would take a rifle on the bridge with him. He grabbed it and began shooting any time a shark came in view. My respect level for him hovered near zero.

Yeah, what I said, but apparently they still jerk a bit (jaw?) for a little while, some kind of remaining reflex. I wasn't there to watch of course, but I remember his scar. Ow-ie.

I'm assuming Ossobuco wasn't going for a laugh when she made that statement.

Sharks are in fact notoriously dangerous even after they have been caught and taken out of the water and perceived dead.
