After all of the hullabaloo, who here still thinks soccer/futbol is an absolute bore?

Raise your hand and be counted! Or are you one of them mindless zombies, mesmerized by the droning of the inane inaction on the football pitch?

I know I'm not the only one who still can't stand European boreball!

@tsarstepan,
I didn't watch one game.

I was also miffed at those people who chose to fly the flag of their favourite country/team on their cars. It seems that nobody is aware of the rules for flying flags. I am not sure if the rules are the same around the world, but here in Canada nobody is to fly a flag of a foreign country unless the Canadian flag is also flown. The Canadian flag must have dominance and be flown higher than the foreign flag.

I give credit to the few people who actually did this.

For the others, you live in Canada, people. Not the land you left to become a Canadian citizen.

<I am stepping down from the soapbox now.>

I'm quite proud of you Intrepid! We need more of you to help the US repel this dull and tediously slow invasion. Smile

Ever consider moving to the US to help us repel this invasion?

@tsarstepan,
I really prefer Canada, although I know many people who have moved to the U.S. to persue careers. A boyhood friend moved to Vegas to be in the entertainment business and still lives on the east coast. Not sure if he is a soccer fan.

I will support you from Canada. After all, we share a common border.

Smile

There is a freewheeling recklessness to the whole World Cup scene that I find infectious. I look forward to the next time.

@edgarblythe,
Yeah, the recklessness of two teams launching a devastating defense - at the same time.

@tsarstepan,
I liked the A2k world cup fantasy game a lot and I just watched it on game cast, an admittedly lame venue. The highlight was FBaezer and R.Gentel and Pantalones talking after the Final. Pantalones won and FB and RG explained a lot re tactics and much else..

No, not bored.

@tsarstepan,
I was watching all-star golf on the telly when Lady Diane informed me that world cup soccer was on so I switched to curling.

I loved playing soccer as a kid, a thousand years ago.

Still love watching soccer/futbol. When it's played well, it is truly beautiful.

@dyslexia,
I have no love for curling but I do owe you a little bit more respect for moving away from the World cup rather then going towards it. Smile
