Okay, all you photographers out there. Let's share some photos. I'll begin by posting some taken at the Galapagos Islands on my recent trip. c.i.
This is the first time I've been able to approach birds to take their picture without them flying away. c.i.
Anybody for iguanas? c.i.
Vivien, It's interesting to see other cultures that built dwellings on mountain sides. In Montezuma in Arizona (and in New Mexico), Indians did the same thing. c.i.
ci this isn't so much on a mountainside - it is an undercut cave a kilometre long from when the glaciers melted and the rivers were high - it is on a sheer cliff face and goes in quite deep - it was lived in from stone age times (cave bears hibernated there before that and there claw marks are on the stone), then in medieval times they built a village up there. It is a sheer 30m drop down to the river Vezere and a sheer cliff up to the wooded land above.
It is a really beautiful setting. Nearby are the caves of Lascaux, Rouffignac etc where you can see the stone age paintings which are wonderful.
Vivien that site of Tonys work is great thanks .
The pause that refreshes.
this one is popular as a favorite
Husker - are these your photos?
The second one is lovely. Very peaceful.
I've also had comments that the shadows created a stirred energy
this was an early evening picture I took on the baja on my favorite lanscaped
husker, Great photos. Please share more. As a lover of photography, I rate yours better than many that claim to be "professional."
