Implicator, That's a whole new perspective on that tropical bird. I took some at the Bird Park in Bali recently (last month). They are really photogenic birds.

Phoenix, I went to the link you provided, and those pictures are awesome! Hope you will share more. When my wife retires early next year, I think that'll be our first destination.

I've seen that look in my friend's African Grey. Methinks he's considering taking a chunk out of implicator's hand.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with tropical bird names. Had information on birds of South Africa when I visited some years ago on a photo safari, but even those are disappearing from my memory bank.

It's not a toucan. This is a toucan:

Perhaps it's some kind of Hornbill?

Here's a description for the toucan:
green skin around eye
beak: light green with orange spot
black feathers
yellow head and chest with red border
rainbow colored bill with toothed edges
red under tail converts.

The best animal photo I have taken is this one-
I had to shoot through some plexi glass, so the green tint is there to stay..
But his position is the best. -

I like to lay and read like that sometimes.
I prop my hind quarters on a pillow and use the wall to hold my feet up.
It was funny to see the ape doing the same thing.

What I couldnt capture with the picture were his sighs..
THAT made the whole scene. Laughing
