I'm not going to point any blame here. there are lots of theories.

Can we just agree that something has to be done? Can we work on extricating ourselves from a bad situation like adults? For once?

Not surprising. The Republicans hate the Dem congress and the anti-war dems hate the dem congress, who are too cowardly to cut off the funding.

I think the general public badly wants someone to take the president to the woodshed. Until this Congress does so, it's numbers won't get any better.

... or just maybe, the people aren't as disenchanted with the Administration's policies as some might like to think.

It does put Bush poll numbers in perspective, no? ;p

But seriously, Congress is suffering from a total lack of confidence from the voting public. People are getting to the point that they don't believe that Congress can do -anything- unless the congresscritters are being bribed to do it, and that's... just plain not good.

Hopefully, and finally, the PEOPLE are beginning to realize politicians from both the democratic party and republican party do not care about the people they are supposed to represent.

Hopefully, the voters will realize it is time to remove everyone from office and find people who will represent the will of the people, not special interest, not minority groups, not business interests but ALL the PEOPLE.

Unless the will of the people disagrees with the Constitution... then you need someone with the balls to tell the people to STFU.

Congress approval in particular is down 13 points since February, just after the Democrats took over.

Yup, it's all Bush's fault that half of the democrat voting base looks for the blue button because they cannot read. Yup.

Shocked
That probably explains why just 3% of 'the people' think Bush, the Republicans and the Democrats are doing ok on the handling of the immigration issues facing this country.
