Deadlines and Commitments

Just checking in. Anyone laughing yet?

too sad to laugh.

It's just not funny. To be funny there has to be some kind of unexpected twist to the joke. But this is a sad truth we are all already aware of. For example, seeing somebody trip and fall on their face is funny in a movie...but not when it's a videotape of your mother.

Oh, I laughed at the first one. Clever.

The second had me more nodding bitterly.

I didn't think either of them were all that funny, but I did think the two of them were an excellent summary of the Bush presidency.

Was just wondering if my humor was broken. I couldn't figure out why other people found them so hilarious.
