Okay, so I was able to get my new avatar to my desktop or hard drive, but when I try to transfer it I am told that it needs to be less than 6 KB...I do not know how to fix this! HELP, please....

B-fly: you can do these during the day - my job won't permit THAT creativity to flow. I don't mind the duplicates - like you said, it's still fun to do. maybe I'll make some new years or v-day ones if a2kers don't mind (i'm just a really big holiday fanatic)

Jespah, I redid your holiday avatar, spruced it up a bit. Use if you choose to.

Maybe we can start something in the portal or even the A2K store and create custom greeting cards and avatars for A2K members.

Petunia, I thought I was making a conscious effort to ensure these were all under 6K. I must of messed up on yours. Can you tell me what size the file is on your computer? That will let me know how much more to reduce the one I uploaded to allow for bloating during the downloading process.

I just checked to verify it, and the file I posted in this thread is 5667 bytes.

Onyx, you can have the whole market demand for New Year's avatars. I can only think of a couple of ways to display a glass of champagne. Wink

OOH! I have to make a choice!

Well, let's see...Butterfly's classic card or
Onyxelle's party clothes...Tough choice.
Both are great! Thanks so much, both
of you! How nice of you to spend the time
doing this for all of us!

I will have to think about this a little...

Eva - here's a solution. use one as your avatar and put one in your siggie line...if you absolutely can't choose :-)

That might not be such a good idea. I think Craven discourages the use of images in the signatures. Maybe he can confirm or deny that for us next time he runs through here.

butrflynet -

Possum is ever so grateful! And you saved me a trip to see Santa. I was lookingfor a Poss pic to put in this Christmas decoration frame I bought for my aunt! She'll be tickled pink!

Thanks so much!

Depends on the image. ehBeth has one that's fine, my sig is an image....

As long as it's either small (like ehBeth's, the size of an emoticon) or subtle (like mine, that is transparent and looks like text) it's fine. If it's like a second avatar it's not (it's not uncommon for people to use full banner sized signature images on some teenny bopper boards and it slows down the page loading for everyone).
