Re shops, and certain ones that will leave you the hell alone when you go in...
Catholic book/gift shops are great.
Oh, don't confuse them with Christian Supply Stores. Yes, there are actually stores that call themselves that. "I'll be back in an hour honey, it looks like we're running low on christian supplies" They are of the non-denominational, established in the last 50 years type of christians....bah....posers I say. I've had to go into them, and by the time you make your purchase (don't ask what I had to buy) and leave, you're practically in a diabetic coma.
However, you go into a Catholic gift shop, you get a surly glance and maybe a grunt if you're lucky. It's great. It's like "You're a cat lick, you know what the hell you want, I don't gotta show ya."
It made buying the crucifix to hang upside down over my sacrifice altar quite pleasant and speedy.
