Hi Diane,

I wish you would come up to visit soon. We can't come by on the way to Portland because it's not exactly on the way. But maybe we can work something out on the way to or from Texas when we go home for Bernie to meet the family. They're all annoyed with me because they didn't get a chance to "pass" on him before the marriage. Everyone's upset that they don't get to attend the wedding. So I told them I'll keep them posted with photos and we'll have a big party with Bernie's family and with mine soon after.

My family freaks out a little easily......or at least some of them do. Bernie will look good to my sisters. He favors our big brother and our father. He's such a good rascal.......they'll all love him.

(btw we have an "international" ferry running between wolfe island-ontario and cape vincent , NY (horne's ferry) ; you could probably get married "on the borderline" ! )

The ferry captain, huh? But then we'd have to just turn around and go home again. We're planning a nice night on the town in Greenwich. And the border.......I think we'll stay this side of the border for sure for now. Thanks for the well wishes.

Copenhagen is lovely. Except for the fact that I once ended a six week visit to Europe with my in-laws in that city. I was so fed up by the time we arrived, there was not much to enjoy anymore.

I'll have to try it again soon.

I thought there was something off about this photo.
There is Bernie standing in the basement of a local East Side Irish dive.
Nothing out of order there.
For a moment I thought I was seeing some kind of halo over his head.
A friend pointed out it's a beer ad.
Okay.
Maybe it's the look upon his face.
It appears to reveal his anticipation that something is about to happen.
But that's Kickycan,
poolcue upraised,
eyes focused on his shot,
concentrating his every being upon that moment,
so,
you know, nothing really happened after that

except for sighs.

Bernie does look in place as he does. Doesn't he?

But I think his mind was floating

I believe a mindreader would have been stumped by the reading:
