You obviously don't even know what the NEA and the Lawyers Guild are. A single woman who supports herself as a teacher doesn't earn enough to buy a house. NEA can not be that powerful, then. As for the Lawyers Guild, it is a minority (in terms of numbers) organization, voluntarily representing a small portion of the bar.
